These boots are great for a walk or hike, they have a thick strudy sole and lightweight mesh and suede uppers.

Suprisiingly breathable, my feet stayed dry even after a 3 mile hike on a warm day .

They have lots of ankle support, so I think they would be good for long hiking.

These are super comfy waterproof work shoes, great for working outside, construction work, or hiking.

Given the fact that this work shoe has reinforced toe construction, it is especially useful as it allows your toes to move freely inside it and you do not need to buy a bigger size to accommodate freedom of movement when you feet get swollen after a long day of work.

Regardless of the socks or the use it has left me with blisters on top of my foot where the very hard and inflexible ribs between the toes and the laces sit.

Pretty much left me no option other than to return the shoes to Amazon.

There are more practical options which offer better support in that arena and perhaps higher ankle coverage if you need that.

I found this out cause the shoe was uncomfortable to walk in.

I logged about 5 miles walking on pavement for the initial break-in, and honestly, the first half mile or so felt like I had wood planks strapped to my feet and I thought these were going to be a big mistake.

I owned dozens of pairs of Keen hiking boots and always had pretty good luck with them.

Namely I have some tried and true boots that have held up as being waterproof, comfortable and practical both for Ohio winters when I need to get out in a few inches of snow, or to hike through some soggy trails when backpacking.

Most the others were geared toward outdoor adventuring and were always good for hiking.

These work shoes are very well crafted, solid, and durable.

Add to all this a waterproof lining and you have a perfect work shoe!

but they are much more comfortable and easy to get off and on.

I know these shoes will be excellent for being a primary winter shoe for me where I can use my standing desk and pad and be comfortable at work.

But, I guess the insoles started conforming to my feet because they got more comfortable the longer I walked.

The insole is crazy comfortable and mimics an athletic shoe.

The traction is good, and they are water resistant

The insoles are way better than any of my past waterproof shoes.

My feet don't get as hot in these as they would in my other past waterproof shoes.

They are completely waterproof as advertised and nary a drop penetrated when tromping through some creek beds.

The product notes its anti-slip, BUT i could clearly feel myself losing grip on a thin layer of water.

The water resistant is only good if you do not complete submerge the shoe.

Not easy or worth it to fix it and the laces just don't work right without the last loop, so these now become former shoes.

They were a good "hiking shoe" as opposed to a full boot.

However, the normal expensive work shoes I was buying cost me 3 time the amount and lasted at best 1 year.

So for me, these shoes work quite well, and are good work shoes for the price.

Don't wear thick socks.

The morning of my second day that I was forced to wear them to work, my feet cried as I slid them into these shoes which caused immediate discomfort.

I could always tell I was wearing them and they alway rubbed at some part of my toe, enough to make it impossible to wear.

but not for a steel toe, just heavier than your everyday sneaker or most certainly the running shoe I usually wear in the summer.

I started with an 8.5, which most of my sneakers are and they were huge.

Inside of heel is very hard and will need blister protection for a while.

There is now another shoe as equally torturous as high heels and it's steel toe, not specifically KEEN.

I have had them on 10-12 hours a day and find them to be as comfortable as my hikers.

However boots were only worn for occasional chores around property, not a daily work boot and less than 1 year later they are failing apart at toe area where plastic meets leather.

The leather is much stiffer if it is leather.

They are tough to tighten the front area with the laces and are to wide at the ball area for me, so a little uncomfortable walking around.
