Xero Shoes Men's Mesa Trail II Shoe - Lightweight Barefoot Trail Runner

Had I known this I would have tried a 13 again - their sizing from model to model appears to be non uniform.

My wife has also discovered this when moving from one model to another in Xero shoes - the sizing is not consistent.

If sizing on Xero Shoes were consistent between models I would have given them a 5 star rating.

The only time I have found them worse than other shoes is on greasy slick tiles.

but these shoes were like walking on wet ice - just sliding across the floor.

Dry Time - I did one hike in calf deep water and it took 2 days for these to dry - I did expect them to dry faster,

They have great traction for outdoor workouts, hikes, bike rides, and comfortable for around the house and casual use.

The sole is also noticeably stiffer with better grip which is what I wanted for hiking and disc golf.

Durability - I have now been wearing them daily for 2 months - at this point I am used to my shoes showing a lot of sign of wear (4 months is a long time for my usual shoes to last) - I have worn them for everything, except for Church when I wear dress shoes - hiking, walking on pavement, yard work, etc.

I am surprised as they have outperformed any of my hiking boots and tennis shoe soles on just about every other type of surface.

The shoe itself seems well built and is comfortable.

Both are really comfortable out of the box.

Very comfortable and perfect to size.

but I quickly adapted and soon noticed these were the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

Sole - for the most part, walking on dirt roads, pavement, and large rocks is very comfortable.

My feet, knees and legs feel really good after wearing them.

He's worn them around the house, out and about running errands and so far has no complaints.

The are so light he has commented that he forgets he's wearing them!

I have walked (according to my phone count) 178 miles since getting them, so no where near what they are rated at and they are showing very minimal signs of wear - one singe lug has worn down 1/8 of it's thickness, the rest still look near new.

The sole still provides a nice balance of good ground feedback without leaving your feet too exposed to rocks and roots.

I have not had an issue with the insoles shifting around

Needed a pair of actual climbing boots, been using 8” steel toe logger boots and I could barely stand up after climbing with spikes for 6 hours.

It was only about 4 months until I started getting holes in the leather near the sole.

but there are several holes in both boots.

Wouldn't recommend them as winter boots, though.

They aren't water proof, so if I was in the snow for too long, my feet got wet.

I only got to wear them for 8 months before having to replace them - for almost $70, I was hoping for more.

The treads had better grip than tennis shoes, so I slipped less.

Still better protection from the elements than tennis shoes.

I had the hardest time finding these boots in his size, as we no longer live in NYC so needless to say I was elated when I found them on Amazon.

I was pleased with the boots for the most part.

I bought three pairs (smaller and smaller trying to find my fit) even when I managed to get a size that worked length-wise, it was still far narrow in the forefoot and cavernous in the heel.

I went all the way down to a 8.5 here w/ the Sperry's, and even then I ended up with bleeding blisters within an hour of putting them on at the heel.

Cheap knockoff
Seems like these boots are a cheap knockoff with the reebok tag, very uncomfortable, hi top tongue like i have never seen before, cheap zipper.

Poorly made Side Zipper
Product fit perfect out of the box, I purchased in April and this is the third pair I have owned and went to put them on this morning and zip them up and the zipper broke and will not zip up or down now.

but the zipper still broke and has become an inconvenience.

If the Reeboks didn't have the zipper I would not ever touch them because the plastic eyelets are a highly possible point of failure.
