Pair I received was a tad narrower than expected
I purchased these Saltwater Core Boots in grey and brown in size 8 Medium, both manufactured in Vietnam, so I'm not sure why the grey boots were a perfect fit,

but the brown ones were a bit narrower at the top in the toe area.

This is my all time favorite winter boot.

Waterproof and comfortable
I love these boots.

Love the zippers on the side of the boot in addition to the leather laces.

but with these boots and them feet completely dry when EVERYTHING else was drenched under multiple ponchos.

They fit EXACTLY as expected and for a "rubber" boot they are really pretty.

The good thing is that I won't need heavy socks with these boots because the lining is very warm.

I bought these in my regular shoe size and they are really big even with thick socks.

Rounding my size up to whole size was too big.

I ordered size 11, received size 11, tried on size 11 and it's closer to about size 10.

Disappointing Heel Material
I wore these shoes as my only pair on a 10-day trip to Switzerland.

However, having them less than two months, the outside material around the heel has worn off in a patch on each shoe.

I have long second and third toes which aren't happy in shoes, so for the last decade I've been wearing sandals year round except for logger boots a full size too big when I take walks or hike trails.

My mom thought they were cute - even with leggings and they were the right mix of style and function for riding.

but comfy and cute boot to wear to the office or out for fun.

It took a long while for these boots to go on sale but it was well worth the wait.

These boots are very comfortable for the purpose and they look good.

I even wore them to drive 4.5 hours with no issues.

They didn't feel right and my foot was slipping inside and both feet were sore after 15 minutes of use.

I tried them for work, once again really sore feet after a short use.

Traveling, sore feet and made loud squishy noises when walking over wet cement, flooring and concrete flooring.

I'd deduct half a star because I have to buy an insole for it, half a star because it makes noise when walking (sounds like something crackling), and half a star because I hate Salomon's lacing system.

I didn't realize until I had worn them several times that, lol they weren't even the same shoes I had ordered.

(trail hiking, road, and local paths) this model has a higher fit around the ankle for support along with all the other great features.

And I do like the new design of the tongue that has a slip that hides the drawstring.

The XA Wild shoe fits and provides sufficient support with a different insole.

First off I love Salomon shoes, I've been wearing them at work for nearly ten years now.

I bought them 1/2 size bigger so I could put an inner sole underneath the one that comes with them as they don't have much padding on the ball of the foot.

I would say what I received is at most one size larger than normal.

At a minimum, a 1/2 size bigger than a normal size. 3.

If I ordered a size smaller, I'm sure the heel issue would go away. 4.

Not much cushion
I bought a couple pair of these years ago and decided to try them again since they fit pretty well and were cheap the last time I bought them.

Run large, and NO cushion on ball of foot
Purchased these as a cheap hiking shoe, not expecting too much given the price.

After wearing these a second time to hike, I could actually feel the tread on the bottom of the shoe through the ball of my foot on a flat surface. Ouch!

And be careful when walking out in the rain - have slipped twice on wet surfaces.

Are rather tight and smaller fit than other trainers from this brand.

Even my Salomon Prism casual tennis shoes have held up for years in rivers and beaches and storms.
