While i am still breaking in these boots, they are well built and have good cushion while walking.

but these boots were comfortable the entire trip, could walk all day long without blistering, and they had great grip and stability when walking descending a bunch of steps covered in snow and ice to see Kerid crater in Iceland.

Favorite hiking shoe
The fact that I wore these for an entire two weeks in rain and crazy terrain in Iceland (did the Fimmvorduhal trail - 15.5 miles) with ZERO hot spots and foot sores blow my mind.

Returning them and getting another pair of the Durand II.

It was painful on the first step, and progressively got worse through the (thankfully) short walk.

Excellent for hiking and yard work and are waterproof is a plus and I put my shoes through the ringer everyday.
