I originally posted that I had received an odd pair and hadn't noticed before I wore and washed them.


A bit puzzled by the size my hunter boots are uk 7 because they are so big i m usually a uk 8 The socks i ordered are uk 6-8 But i cant fit my foot in them let alone wear A  normal sock and the fleece sock Are people wearing them barefoot in the fleecesock ?

I went ahead and bought a second pair because when wearing normal socks with the rainboots, the cold seems to seep through too easily.

Good Shoe Liner
I use these as a shoe liner because my Hunter boots are too big otherwise.

They work great as a liner because I can wear another pair socks and use my Hunter boots for cold rainy or snowy days.

I figure they'll shrink a bit too with washing, and that leaves some room for shrinking since they're pretty fluffy and help fill up the boots.

I'm so grateful to have found them rather than trying to find other socks.

The regular tall boots did not fit on my calf so I returned them and ordered them in Wide.

I've ordered and returned supposed wide-calf friendly rain boots by Joules and DKSUKO and they were fails compared to Hunter in overall fit.

Disclaimer: I did order a size down, fearful they ran large, so if I had the recommended size 8 I may not have these issues.

Even a size down, the Hunter boots fit comfortably with a thin sock on, and would be tolerable if I had to keep the size 7.

I just received my new hunter boots and I'm super excited!

I bought them because I needed sturdy, waterproof boots for my farm work and these are going to slip on and off easily.

Now, these rain boots are nothing short of spectacular from my initial observation.

They FINALLY fit and are super comfortable.

So these are a great option if the regular ones don’t fit.

The shaft, ankle and toe box fit perfectly snug without being stifling.

Cant have a comparison to make as far as cost to quality goes

As others have noted, the seam near the toe starts to separate and lets water right in below the footbed.

The foot bed has a strip of rubber around it, and at the bottom, its simply not water proof.

but by mildly flexing the boot you can see that the gap literally opens up and admits water directly into the foot bed.

These boots can compete with the Hunter and Helly Hansen rain boots for men.

These fit the bill in spades and are half the cost of Hunter boots and just a bit more than the Helly Hansen Midsund2.

but they appear well built, look as good as a rain boot can I suppose, beefy treads, rubber feels soft, not uncomfortable, not tight in the calf.

These are the best value for your money for long lasting rubber rain boots.

These boots were a big hit and they fit him perfectly.

This boot, strangely, seems quite well made otherwise.

While their Canadian made boots seem pretty good most of the time.

Not too wide like some boots, there's enough room for an insole and the versatility to wear a thick sock in colder months.

I much prefer standard welly boots, with the wider, rounder, clumpier toe, and when I saw that these were 'Hunter Original' I mistakenly thought they would be the traditional wellies that Hunter used to make.
