I wear a 15 wide, these where too narrow and no toe room.

In many shoes I am a normal size, apparently with timberland or at least this model, I am a double wide.

Seems to me a smart motivated engineer could have a look at a pair of a competitors shoes and "borrow" a better design OR more durable fabric for even that small portion of the shoe.

but we paired the shoe with timberland shock absorbering insoles and my husband is absolutely in love.

He was thrilled when he seen the sleek design (he got solid black) and surprised at how light weight the alloy toe is!

The standard is the modern one ASTM -2143 - 18 EH I was hesitant to buy this because it said on the product page it was the old standard, rest assured it's the modern one With that said I am returning this I usually wear a size 11 4x wide shoe Got this in size 11, it was wide enough for my feet but the steel toe cuts into the end of the shoe , after 5 min my toes started to go numb.

If you are buying this make sure to buy one size larger.

The soles are also rather squishy and take some getting used to so you don't fall on uneven ground.

The material used is a little funky - think of a cross between rubber and foam, or dense rubberized foam.

They come larger than the listed size, so I ended up with a blister on the back of my foot just walking around for about 45 minutes.

The are very hard to get on because they have no lining ,, just rubber.

It just seems like for the price,,  they would have some kind of lining to help ease your foot in and out.

The boots kept my feet dry and were comfortable.

It does have it's own integral boot jack to help getting them off.

Best boot I've had for this type of work so far.

Larger sizing
The shoe size is larger than a regular shoe maybe because of the reinforced toe.

I ordered an 11 and it’s about 1/2 a size bigger than a regular shoe

There is sole squeak when walking on smooth, polished surfaces.

but I’ll just keep them as dealing with Amazon has become a pain and there not that bad a few scuff marks and on the inside was worn where the white lettering is inside the sole looked almost fake at first.

My son has only worn these boots maybe 5 times and the wire looking pieces are coming apart.

Finally there's the size, I wear an 8 men's (preferably wide) and the other boot pictured is true to any other 8 I own in length, meanwhile this Corral boot is almost a size too large and creates a tripping hazard.

Ex, can snag Durango Rebel boots with a comp toe, water proof, insulated (electric shock), saddle detailing, and in a wide for $160 and I have several pairs of those I've owned for several years because they just last that long.

but it looks like it is good year welted with a double stitch,  I happen to like that very much especially the way it looks the boots fit true to size and they feel pretty supported and made a nice letter.
