The one thing I really dislike (and it admittedly is a nit) is the pull strap at the top of the heel.

The Moab line has a strap which has one end attached at the top of the heel with the other end attached about an inch down.

however, while there is what could be a loop, the way it is attached - one point at the top of the heel - it does not lend itself to being a loop.

I also question quality control, as the first pair of 11.5 I got, one shoe was hitting my big toes.

With that being said, the rubber part at the front seems to be slightly peeling off the leather after a few months, your feet will hurt after some decent amount of walking as there's not much cushion, and I definitely wouldn't go outdoor "adventure" walking in them (despite the name).

Merrell Customer service I like the shoes, and bought this pair to replace an identical pair that I wore out… a few weeks after receiving these shoes, the soles started to separate.

I contacted customer service at Merrill and filled out a defective product form and provided pictures.

They are nice, quick, and easy to put on for short walks or casually wearing for everyday use.

but I've developed foot problems over the years and I have had to reconcile myself to the fact that I am going to have to pony up some cash if I want to get a quality pair of boots that last and don't exacerbate the pain and swelling my feet and ankles go through on a daily basis.

I had to put a pad insert so it’s not so uncomfortable.

but the leather around the ankles leeched dye onto my socks and the rubber they used for the soles were slippery on hard, wet surfaces making them unsuited for general outdoor wear.

Lacks Long-Term Durability I have probably spent close to $600 on boots the last couple of years trying to find a pair that I like.

I would just as soon rock a cheap pair of Wally World Brahma boots as the latest and greatest Danners

The last couple of years I've worn Danners, Merrells, two pairs of Wolverines and these Rocky boots.

The Danners were the most comfortable boots out of the box that I've ever worn

I searched for days in local stores and on Amazon until I found these Rocky boots.

but I think I can say that I've found "my" boot.

All leather construction, suede non leeching padded ankles, nice wide toe box and sized generously for heavy cotton boot socks for summer wear and mid weight wool socks for moderately cold Kentucky winters.

I guess you can tell by now I like these boots.

I hope that they last for a while and I hope that Rocky keeps making this style of boot without making changes to its design because when these wear out I plan on buying another pair asap.

This boot was a perfect fit and comfortable to wear out of the box.

We went to visit my son in the military in New Mexico and he loved the look of them and tried my husbands pair on and could not believe how comfortable they were and said i would love a pair of those so I bought him a pair and they are by far his favorite boots.
