But, the reason I will not be buying these shoes again is because on any smooth, damp or wet surface - they are straight up dangerous.

No standing water or anything - just damp.

I would not trust these in very wet, slippery conditions as I’m not sure if they have sufficient grip and water resistance.

And I am not talking about just a gentle slip - it was full on cartoon-style-limb-flailing "this is going to hurt" style slippage.

If you work/live in an environment where you walk on smooth surfaces that occasionally are damp or wet you will need to avoid these shoes at all costs or they will hurt you.

This product is perfect for everyday wear and is lightweight, durable and hardwearing, good for walking long distances in urban areas and able to handle bit of the rough stuff as well, this one of the best shoes I have purchased from Merrell and I have purchased a few from them over the years and they have never let me down, I hope they don't stop this line for a while and I will be buying more in the future

I would definitely recommend these for any summer long walks, hikes in warm climates for comfort and support.

I ordered 11 1/2 wide (my size for 30+ years) and these shoes were huge!

I wear a 10 1/2, and these shoes in size 9 are still too big.

So, order at least 1.5 sizes smaller than normal, and possibly even 2 sizes.

I needed some warm waterproof boots for Minnesota winters and spring and this was on sale at the end of February.

The bottom was a little runcomfortable the first few days,

The insulated side padding is warm and the shoe laces are way too long, so I have to wrap them once around the top of the boot to keep them from dragging.

Also, the laces are 100 feet longer than they need to be.

Tie them regularly and you have huge loops to trip on, or wrap the laces around your leg once before tying and there isn’t enough slack to double knot them.

Don’t buy unless you enjoy physical pain
