The standard is the modern one ASTM -2143 - 18 EH I was hesitant to buy this because it said on the product page it was the old standard, rest assured it's the modern one With that said I am returning this I usually wear a size 11 4x wide shoe Got this in size 11, it was wide enough for my feet but the steel toe cuts into the end of the shoe , after 5 min my toes started to go numb.

If you are buying this make sure to buy one size larger.

The soles are also rather squishy and take some getting used to so you don't fall on uneven ground.

The material used is a little funky - think of a cross between rubber and foam, or dense rubberized foam.

They come larger than the listed size, so I ended up with a blister on the back of my foot just walking around for about 45 minutes.

The are very hard to get on because they have no lining ,, just rubber.

It just seems like for the price,,  they would have some kind of lining to help ease your foot in and out.

The boots kept my feet dry and were comfortable.

It does have it's own integral boot jack to help getting them off.

Best boot I've had for this type of work so far.

I ordered them on 10-20-2020 and as of 1-23-21, ON THE TOPS OF EACH BOOT, THERE IS A CRACK IN THE RUBBER WHERE THEY CREASE WHEN I WALK.

They do not get wet on top, where the cracks in the rubber are, which is strange.

Within 4 weeks these split on both boots where it flexes at the toe joint when you walk.

On top of that, there is a leak on the back of the right boot, near the heel and my foot gets wet everytime I step in water.

First, the toe boxes were too tight so I requested a refund, which was approved.

I bought these for my husband, he’s a lineman and with the weather changing we didn’t want his new leather boots to get ruined.

AVOID AT ALL COST
I paid 165.00 for these boots thinking they were the be all, end all of heavy duty steel toe rubber boots.

They look amazing and better  yet they are so comfortable ,  feel amazing on your feet!!!! !

It is a shame as these are extremely comfortable

Great yet could be better
These boots are warm even in -15F, which means my daughter can wear steel toes even in the winter!

Good quality, warm, steel toe, good tread, which are all great.
