The tip of one of the shoes was scuffed very easily after a couple hours of wear.

but not sure they'll last long if they scuff  that easy.

If after four months or so they are looking scuffed up, and I have to buy another pair, not sure they are worth $80 or so.

My only problem is that the heel pocket is just a little deep and the jell insert allows a vertical movement during normal walking that quickly wore a blister on the back of both ankles

The only thing that has ever failed (have owned about 4 pairs of these in brown and black over the past 5 years) is the gel heel support;

although the last pair or so I have bought have shown that their quality is sliding a bit.

I have owned Hush Puppies for over 10 years and have been very satisfied with them.

The construction and material of the shoe is classic Hush Puppies.

Well built - wide enough for my feet
Bought the Hush Puppies Strategy WW, Dunham Bryce Oxford 4E, Rockport Editorial offices plain toe 4E as I have wide feet with a bothersome bunion on the left foot.

Hush puppies definitely the best built of the 3 pairs with the full leather upper vs. the nylon cloth inside the Rockport and Dunham.

Dunham looks the most casual of the three because of the stitching on the side of the sole and the sole being a more casual design than the Hush Puppies and Rockports.

Hush Puppies is the only pair of the three that hugs my heel so there is little slippage.

I intend to keep the Hush Puppies as they are the most comfortable on account of the snug heel, little slippage and wide toe box.

Great for travel if you step in small puddles (even up to the welt which is waterproof).

FWIW, it's also apparently waterproof, and not heavy like other waterproof shoes I've owned in the past.

The leather around the ankle has a nice snug feel compared with the Dunhams and Rockports.

I love the simply styling, not following any of the latest trends in casual office dress.

These are the first dress shoes (the 5E version) that true to fit, wide enough in the toe box, and supple enough to allow for some give to form to your foot.

Otherwise, A+ in fit, classic looks, and durability all around.
