Our new puppy chewed through his laces and put a hole in the heel.

I was hoping the velcro could possibly extend the life of the shoes if our puppy somehow manages to get her teeth on them.

But these showed up without the velcro strap.

but wanted to let potential buyers know that a velcro strap may not be included on the shoe (in case you are purchasing them for that reason).

but had to return them as they are very stiff and narrow.

I also find them slightly narrow as I can see they pinch his little pinky toe a bit and he doesn't have wide feet at all.

KEEN has the BEST toe protection, and it lasts at least 6 months till my son's feet grow.

This was his 4th or 5th KEEN shoes, and we loved every single KEEN shoes we got for him.

Keen shoes on the other hand have made it through the winter and the shoes are holding up perfectly

The KEEN brand is very durable, and I've been very happy with the overall quality of the shoe.

Rubber sole failed on first hike
The rubber sole failed catastrophically mid-way through their first hike.

The lugged sole is made of overly soft rubber that cuts easily when hiking on rocks.

Consequently, you have to grab the dirty bottom of the shoe to wiggle it on.

Ended up taking the insoles out of my other shoes and replacing the ones in these and seemed to mostly fix the issue so think the insole design is just bad.

The one shortcoming of these shoes is the tab on the back of the heel is too small for even a 5 year old to get a finger through.

The loop is so small that it makes it too short as well.

These also don't breathe at all so at the end of the day after you take them off your  feet are going to be a sweaty mess.

but the laces simply don't stay tightly tied so the shoes get "loose" throughout the day.

I've read reviews of Keen shoes squeaking while walking; no problems here.

The wider toe on the Keen design is roomy for your toes.

Good fit and comfortable
I have keen boots and shoes and like them a lot.

As I say, comfortable and they also look good and being leather means they cleans up easily.

This is my second pair of theses shoes.

I liked the fit, finish and comfort of the black pair I bought so much, that I ordered the dark earth (dark brown).

The quality of the leather and fit and finish of the upper shoe is excellent.

Slight issue with right shoe tongue
I just forced myself to toss my favorite pair of these same shoes..I need steel toe and harder to find for women.

but, BOTH pairs had the same issue with the right shoe tongue not staying flat.

So, these are priced lower because they are factory seconds and whatever worker or machine was in charge of sewing the tongue on the right shoe only needs recalibration, or retraining!

but are real heavy also they hurt my toes because they are too small even tho I got wide width.

but the tongue curls and digs into the tops of my feet and I have to keep them somewhat loose enough to slip on and off.

These shoes are like walking on clouds.


Working nine hour shifts, I've always found Keen work shoes to be comfortable and not too heavy.

They are easy to clean too which I like because sometimes I walk in some greasy spots.

I've been through ALOT of shoes in all my years working in the plant industry and none have lived up to these!

I have a few issues with my feet an after wearing these for a bout 2 montages along with 5 sessions of therapy my issue went away an a months later it’s not came back so I will never wear another steal toe

Got my new shoes yesterday n wore to work for 8 hr shift, most comfortable shoes ever.

The sketchers are lighter and I’d say more comfortable

They are a little bit more narrow than some of our other cleats so if you have a wide foot, you may not be comfortable.

These cleets were far too narrow, so we returned them.

If your kiddo has wider feet, don't buy these.

We just got these delivered so I won't opine on anything else other than to say that I was disappointed when I saw that you need to tie the laces.

There was a dead bug squished on the bottom with grass as well.

Great Boots
Bought these for my son who’s a keen Rugby player, these worked out awesome for him this past season and he’s got another season coming up and they’re get him through that one to.

He said they fit perfect, no slipping in the boot itself, ultra lightweight and easy to run and cut in.

Fits our daughter's foot best and she said they were the most comfortable.
