The Dansko XP "memory foam" insert doesn't feel any more cushiony than the Sanita insert;

however, the "memory foam" insert does seem to take up a little more space than the Sanita insert, making the Dansko feel a little, tiny bit tighter.

This thin layer began to peel and crack after a week of wear and continued to get worse until I decided to try to peel it all off.

My only complaint is that the sole of the left shoe somehow started slipping around and became very uncomfortable until I had to readjust it. .

Moreover, my first couple of pairs of clogs were so stretched out after a couple of months of "breaking in", that they no longer looked professionally appropriate to wear with my uniform.

They lasted me only 6 month before the soles wore out, they squeaked, and hurt my feet.

This came off easily and the shiny patent leather returned to its former beauty.

Leather Insoles- Professional ladies socks do not slide around inside them because of the nice leather insoles.

Since I began wearing the size 40 clogs, the toe box holds its shape and the leather doesn't crack as much on the sides.

Heel Support- The shoe has a harder material around the back of the heel that supports the back of the foot without any kind of rubbing or irritation.

The heel support has helped my working feet the most.

Some features that I really like about this shoe that are hard to find in other women's professional shoes are: Slight heel lift- The heel of the shoe is higher,

Additionally, the heels of my socks last longer.

Once removed, the shoe was beautiful and shiny.

Apparently, they are attractive and stylish as well.

They also feel just as comfortable as they did the very first time I put them on.

They absorb much of the shock from walking on hard surfaces, they accommodate swollen feet, they improve my posture - which alleviates a lot of back pain -, and the extra thickness of the sole keeps my feet warm and dry whilst walking in snow and on cold surfaces.

The shoes were in perfect condition when I received them

but fit much smaller than my usual Doc Martens size. Returned.

So I’m taking off two stars and returning.

Not what I expected
The toe box for this pair, is like that narrow round toe and NOT the round toe.

but high arch and the shoe just doesn't fit.

You HAVE to Break These In
If you do not have patience and maybe a little show stretch do not buy.

I had a previous pair of basic Dr. Marten oxfords that were made of synthetic leather, and they were quite comfortable and broke in very quickly.

The model 1461 is made of very sturdy leather and the toe box is more narrow than on the synthetic pair.

Also good heel cushioning offered by the soles while driving as I am also in traffic for up to 2 hrs a day round trip.

However, these are breaking in and are getting more comfortable every day- I think they will be fine in the long run.

The souls are great and give good cushioning.

I 2ouldnt recommend for harsh terrain either as the shoe bottom is too flexible and you would feel every rock.

The arch area is actually lower than the padding in middle of the foot.

but then the shoes become too tight, and there is no way to remove the original insole because it's glued in.

I had to return because of the larger fit.

I like the leather they keep your feet warm

As you an see in the photos I attached, the memory foam insoles provide support under the heel and toes

But they are great excursion shoes very light and comfortable.


Very happy with these - they fit as expected, are comfortable, and I like the style.

These are comfortable, fit well right from the box, and no break in required.

I have custom insoles, which just make these shoes super comfortable.

I buy Sketchers exclusively- they always fit!

Unfortunately I wore them on a long outdoor hike the first day.

They are truly a beautiful, real leather, boot.

The inner sole is well cushioned with a good heel support.

Stayed dry and comfortable
Used for hiking..tried them out during a 4.5mile hike.

The boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on and were a good fit for my wide feet (and bunions) with narrow heels.

They remained completely comfortable and dry after 20 plus miles in difficult rocky wet and muddy terrain.

i have a slightly wide foot and these fit comfortably.

Holes worn through inside heels after 4 hikes
Longest hike of the 4 was 5.5 miles; we’re not talking about long-distance trekking.

The leather and goretex combination means good support, good wear, and good durability.

She fell in love with the unique heel support strap on this shoe and has been on several hikes along the Appalachian Trail with them.

They were comfortable from the start and did not require a break in period.
