but the width is tight and I can see it hurting my feet eventually.

I can't give it five stars simply because the shoes may hurt someone who needs wide as a shoe option..

This pair was a bit narrower over my last one that was also a Solar Glide 4,

Amazing running shoes for marathons
The solar Glide 4 are a great sneakers for long distances workouts and marathons.

Comfortable and long lasting
I've tried a number of running shoes and need to replace them often because the mid-sole eventually loses it support and my foot will start hurting.

So far, the Adidas shoes with the Boost sole is lasting the longest for me.

The sole is made of thermoplastic polyurethane instead of EVA and it seems to be much more durable.

I usually can only run on a shoe until it has about 100-150 miles on it if it has an EVA midsole, these are last much longer.

Probably 300+ miles and the sole is retaining its shape fairly well.

In my opinion, these are better than the current solar glide 5, because the 4 ones are lighter and fit more comfy than the 5 version.

It is now October 2022 and the soles glue has failed and the soles are ripping off the bottoms.

I may have to look into inserts because walking in them all day will not be good.

But if I want to wear it as a hiking boots or even an mountaineering boots the sole will be the weakest point.

The bottom sole felt too soft to be a good hiking/mountaineering boots.

Nor would I expect them to be given the amount of stitching, seams, type of construction and no rubber to be found anywhere water might get in.

I gave 4/5 stars only because they're not waterproof as claimed.

I’d say these boots are for light hiking/style, they are not work boots and if you hike a lot they will degrade pretty fast.

There's really no break in for this kind of boot.

I don't think that boot exists at this price point given the materials and construction type.
