however, on a winter vacation in a colder, snowier mountain setting, my feet (in wool socks) did get cold after some time.

I have size 5.5 feet and got a 6 because I'd like to wear thick socks with them; they fit with light socks, have about 1/2- 3/4 inch of free space in the toe region and the sides are a bit snug.

Lightweight snow boots, great for slim calves
It's hard to find boots of any kind that work for slim calves, so I was glad to find these snow boots--the adjustable lacing allows for a snug fit.

For snow boots, they are surprisingly lightweight, and they have a pretty good grip.

the omni-heat does lock in a lot of heat/block out wind and its lightweight so you can add extra layers [I add a Marmot down puffer under my Heavenly Hooded jacket in extreme winter].

I wore them around for about 15 minutes and then took them off; the inside of the boot was fairly warm so it does trap heat in like it claims.

Note that they do have a more sneaker-like, flexible feel--which seemed different from other snow boots I've had,

but that's minor given the many other practical pluses of these boots for me.

If you you use it your shoestrings will ride up over the tongue and into your leg.

They were stiff out of the box and I found the top pair of boot lace hooks were useless because they put the lace knot above the boot and on my shin, so I used pliers to pinch them shut and now tie off of the 1st pair of hooks.

The toe box was far too roomy for my liking and felt like I was wearing boots that were somewhat two sizes too big in this area,

They are comfortable, lightweight and look well made.

A lightweight, insulated, comfortable (after you figure out how to fit the tongue around your ankle so the upper rivets don't dig in) boot.

Look good enough for an urban walk with your jeans tucked inside or over the boots for more formal looks.

The fit is spot on and the boots are very comfortable!

The boots arrived swiftly using the standard free delivery and I was looking forward to inspecting and trying on for the fit.

Checked them over and pulled them on with my standard two pair of socks and I'm pleased to say the fit was pretty much what I was hopping for, so I'm encouraged by that as being a good sign.

They are my favortie shoes/ boots to wear all the time.

But spent almost four hours cleaning up driveway and sidewalk during one of the heaviest snowfalls in Calgary, my feet and toes still remained toasty even when boots were full deep in snow.

but this is not a negative as it was the outer surface of these boots that was a conscious factor in my purchase along with the reduced price being circa £65 from RRP of £110 on Amazon.

The synthetic outer helps reduce the weight of the boots which is always a welcome plus, and something I was keen to acheive.

Another requirement was a good healthy tread on the soles and some give in cushioning department of the boot when walking, which it seems to suitably have.

The spec of the boot suggests that it will cope suitably these demands and from reviews of Columbia‘s footwear in general the build quality seems to be highly rated particularly by those from USA & Canada.

I really like my UA lightweight combat boots

These feel amazing,  lightweight, yet sturdy.

They both have a zipper on the inside of each and allow for the boot to be expanded so you can fit your heel more easily.

(I have never been let down by Merrell boots and have worn them for many years. So worth the extra money over less expensive brands.)

So far, these boots have held up to the elements.

Great as a motorcycle boot
I ordered the 13W size in these boots and they were spot on.

I love the zipper feature; allowing me to set the laces once and then just use the zipper for quick in and out of the boots!

I hit a fair amount of heavy rain on the ride and these boots kept my feet dry.

I would highly recommend these boots (and already have recommended them to riding friends).

These hiking shoes are great.

The quality is great, they are lightweight, comfortable and easy to break in.

I liked that the rivet for the  little hook that holds the lace is covered so it doesn't dig into your ankle/leg from the inside of the boot.

I have ordered and sent back four pairs of boots so far, from Amazon, and every single  pair is too narrow.

Sizes need to have a width selection available such as;  i.e size 9D!

Runs almost 1 size TOO SMALL, ORDER LARGER Very NARROW boot, if you need wide these will NOT work for you.

The boots are coming apart after just 3 weeks of wearing them.

I have read other's reviews saying that these boots are too small

The size I ordered was actually bigger than I needed

but the boot was way too narrow at the ankle to easily get the boot on and off or to do so without pain.

I bought these boots for work, I commercial pressure wash, and coal tar asphalt seal coating, I've been wearing these everyday for over a year and there's still no signs of tearing or anything, my feet do not get wet either, I'm definitely going to be buying another pair once my current ones start going out
