ASICS Men's Gel-Exalt 2 Running Shoe

I was initially wary, because they felt tight ( they are a size 9--i'm an 8.5 in reg shoes, 9 in sneakers) and the arch felt weird at first.

but there were a couple of times that I ran out of my sports socks so I wore regular ones, and the hard area of the shoe by the heel kept digging into my "inner heel" (sorry, I don't know what foot parts are called).

It was incredibly uncomfortable and for about 10 blocks I kept squirming and trying to adjust my foot to the shoe, trying not to bang my heel on that hard part.

I'm finally replacing them because I can't imagine the inner sole support hasn't decayed,

long walking

I have had no trouble walking long distances (5+ miles), dancing it out at Zumba, or doing Power Blast/Kickboxing classes.

I recently started hitting the gym more and my poor Sketchers Go Walks (which I loved!)

Another pair of Asics gels (different type) fit me perfectly.

Very comfortable, and like i said, great to look at (and i am normally of the gray/white/black/blue sneakers variety).

I give these 4 out of 5 stars, because they just feel flimsy and a bit cheap, (the fabric is so light it feels almost like a sock with sole),

I use it all the time and I can walk long distances without any issues.

They relieve the pressure off the front part of my foot and distribute that support evenly across my foot, and with my high arch.

but for anyone who has arch problems or other painful foot issues, they may be a game changer.

I have been dealing with a fractured sesamoid, and thus, I have had to really enhance my arch support and shoes.

Not actually a barefoot shoe
in general I was a little disappointed with the quality as the material is thinner than was expecting and I am guessing this will shorten shoes lifespan

What is would be that these are marketed as barefoot shoes and yet do not have one of the most defining features of a barefoot shoe.

but if looking for actual barefoot shoes these will not allow your toes enough room t achieve any benefits.

but the ankle opening was ridiculously small.

So small they were unwearable and had to be returned

My toes don't splay that wide and yet I find these uncomfortable .

I don't feel confident walking in muddy, slippery, or steep areas on hiking trails with the tread on these shoes.

I dislike the shoes, because the material is not as good as the  quality of other shoes I purchased from the same name brand.

Having a high arch it fits very well with and without socks!

The soles are also soft and aren't noisy when I walk, and since I live in a NY apartment and take out my trash at night, they don't disturb my neighbors.

Terrible cheap made shoes that are not comfortable.

Lightweight, flexible, great for long walks with the dogs.

I have average width feet with an high arch and i loved the instant broke-in feel of these!

Fit well for a wide foot child and he wears every day to fun and play in and for long walks.

My child has wide feet and high arches so very hard to find a shoe that fits well and I’m so happy I found these.
