It hurt the underside of my foot so bad I had to return it.

Sizing was perfect just like the other Merrell boots I own.

My other Merrell boots have less arch and fit me like a glove.

The best for winter time
I'm in upstate New York and I've been trying to find the right boots for the winter weather for 2 years, my feet always get cold, these boots have been the best I've ever bought: soft, comfortable and to work outside for many hours .

Warm boot for active winter weather
Used this on two winter snowshoe trips in the BWCA.

I settled on these over the thermo Adventure due to the high back to be able to blouse my boots if need be.

Great price, great fit, warm, comfortable, This winter tested in 3-24 degree weather not accounting for wind chill.

These fit as expected and kept my feet warm all day on the lake.

I think I could fit two pairs of wool socks without hurting my feet because of the extra half size.

The soles also fit great in snowshoe bindings and did not slip off one bit.

My only gripe is that the soles wear out soooo fast

I've realised how much Asics trail shoes do that as I've been wearing my old pair recently just for walking and they have been rubbing the base of my third toe of both feet to the point of being sore.

First impression with Trail Glove 5 was that it was slightly too big (I wear size 11 and bought the same size)

I think that I may hit the durability issue a bit earlier than expected - since soles show some signs of wear.

My last 3 trail gloves i owned my foot rubbed right through the fabric at the knuckle of my big toe. So far i havent noticed any wear (will update if this problem re-occurs.)

Cons: Changing shape and design again: I'm habitual, I want one set of shoes that work and just keep sending me copies more rigid sole than previous models: I buy these because it feels like im running barefoot.

Bluntly put they are painful to run in off road as they don't have any support whatsoever.

If I was using them for very rocky terrain I would probably find another pair with slightly thicker soles.

Also the weak point for me in every sport shoe I ever bought is padding at the back of the heel.

They fir well, have a good feel, and seem like theyre chock full of that merrell quality ( thats found in Vietnam, or wherever these are made).

Good trail shoe for people with high arches - would not use it on extremely rocky trail

I like their shoes because I have wide feed with extremely high arches and it is hard for me to find shoes that fit.

The toe box is roomy, they have more substance and support than the vapor glove series, and look good.

These have plenty of toe box width for the average foot

Pros: Light weight, thin sole: The reason i buy, I love running semi-barefoot and this is why i love it Larger toe Box: The toe box is improved from the last one, doesnt sacrifice grip or traction for me.

Fits liek a glove
I had been looking for a wide-toe, flat sole workout/gym shoe for lifting and other functional workouts.

I prefer as little shoe around my foot as possible and this fits the bill nicely.

I have purchased many pairs of Merrells before in size 9 and this is the first that seems a little short/tight in the toe box.

I ordered it in a size 8 and it was so small I checked the size multiple times thinking they sent a 6.

I wear a size 10 and my toes jammed right up against the end.

You must have changed manufacturing places because it can't compare to what all my other shoes and hikers I have bought over the years.

I have had several pairs of Merrell’s, the fit of these were a little short and a little wide at the toe box.

If your feet are narrow as mine are, this may not be that shoe for you.

There is only one issue and that is they ARE NOT waterproof.

but found out very quickly on wet grass that they are very not waterproof.

So If you are going to wear these outside in wet areas I would either treat them with something or go with Somthing else.

It hurt my ankle after more than one month I wear it.

Comfortable well built shoe
This is my first pair of Merrell safety toe boots.

I always change out my insoles for power step pinnacles for high arches and that just makes it even more comfortable.

They are very comfortable right out of the box and the fit is perfect.

though they are very comfortable out of the box, after about a week they are even better.

I think Merrell could have eliminated the Velcro and just relied on the buckle; both are overkill.

I expected more from Merrell
I have a closet full of Merrell shoes…because they have a high, wide toe box and because they are comfortable, reasonably-priced and long-lasting.

They fit my weird, wide feet, ones withI both a high arch and a high instep.
