I can’t find anywhere in the description that says which sizes are ties and which are bungees.

This particular shoe is not lace-up in the sense that you can lace them
We returned ours because I want my kids to learn to tie laces, and while this one says "lace-up" and it does technically have laces, there are no lacing strings that can be used to tie.

But we ended up having to go on an emergency shore shopping trip with the pickiest shoe wearer in the world,  and the only shoes she liked in the whole shoe store were $60.

They do wear through in a few months if they are the only shoes your child will wear,  and she was down to one pair when a friend's dog got ahold of them.

They have to wear “boat shoes” for their school uniform and sperry always falls apart at the bottom.

The bottom completely detached from the shoe.
