I thought maybe they just weren't wide enough so I got a half size larger and after three months, the new pair is starting to weaken in the same fashion.

But these are as narrow as the shoes i used to buy before I switched to NB.

but now that they don't make the models I really like and there seems to be no consistency between different models I’ll likely have to switch to a different brand that focuses on wide toe box

Great comfort
I walk a lot and from the first try on they fit perfectly, went seven miles in these shoes and my feet felt great, being diabetic I have to have a shoe that fight perfectly or I am in trouble, should have went back to my Army days when I bought two pairs of running shoes in basic, needless to say the Nikes were pout on once and I kept wearing my new balance for a couple of years till they wore out, I wear these everyday on my walks and no wear on them yet, very comfortable and no foot problems, have not had that with the other brands I have used

This is my second pair of new balance nitrel sneakers.

This new balance was the one that last longer, better than Nike.


Ottimo supporto al tallone (ho preso una taglia in più, come tutte le New Balance, e sono perfette) leggerissime e con una caratteristica che, in effetti, ho sempre sottovalutato. La parte anteriore è fatta di tessuto leggerissimo ed elastico: offre quindi meno protezione e impermeabilità di altre versioni più "corazzate" ma ha una qualità davvero importante: quando il piede d'appoggio flette per spingere avanti il corpo, le dita del piede (ovviamente!)

Exactly what I hoped for
If you only buy New Balance running shoes, you probably have wide-feet, like myself.

If you're a New Balance regular, don't be afraid to order this set.

Overall, I'd have to say these may suit someone who's looking for a pure running shoe with a barefoot feel.

Always comfort
I personally have never had an issue with New Balance providing comfort for myself or my wife.

Good support
I have big feet and also have pain when walking barefoot or wrong footwear, these help so much to slip on and not worry about my feet hurting.

I love how comfortable they are once broken in.

I got these for making quick trips outside my house.

Got these for my husband, he says they are very comfortable and he loves how easy they are to quickly slide on and off.

New Balance Men's Made in Us 993 V1 Running Shoe

Design - These aren't as flashy and stylish as mainstream running shoes; there's a throwback element to them that take them more to the "dad-shoe" end of the spectrum,

The sizing is strange- I had to go to a "Running shoe store" to pay $150 for an equivalent New Balance shoe to find my feet were size 10.5 N.  I just walked 3 miles yesterday in a pair of US Army leather shoes issued in 1980 that are size 8.5 B.

While such low end shoes may appear cheaper, you need to constantly buy new shoes frequently meaning actually you pay much more total buying low quality ones.

There's no reason to blindly accept buying garbage, when you can buy something better.

As noted above, there are a variety of colors as part of the Heritage Classic collection, and I bought a second pair online after this one, and they didn't feel as solid as this first pair.

I feel as if I should saw my feet off and buy a Jazzi-chair, they are cutting all the curbs to make them run smoothly over the pedestrians' feet.

but it takes 3 days to get these because probably they don't actually stock them, they order them from the factory when you order.

The American made New Balance sneakers have always been terrific shoes.

If you are looking for a great quality sneaker I very highly recommend New Balance.


2 detailes that made me buy these shoes were, that I am wearing similar product ( new balance 470), right size and width.

Having narrow feet, New Balance is also the only manufacturer that give me a style choice different than stiff, black, shiny leather low quarter shoes.

Few minutes after putting them on, you have the feeling that you're barefooted ( lightweight and comfort ).

Additional reason was colour, because they fit almost to every event and dresscode ( opera, theatre and black tie are special category).

These do actually fit, and I can run a bit in them at age 60.
