The reason they aren’t comfortable is because on the foot bed by your toes there is a big lump that is supposed to go across where your toes meet your foot and if it’s not in the exact right spot it is not comfortable.

They were also not as comfortable as the rubber ones I wear and like.

I'd been wearing Scott "Makaha" 'slippers' as my go-to footwear daily for most of the last two years (lockdown, work from home, etc) and while I've worn Scotts for years, their rubber footbeds were hard on the soles of my feet with that much concentrated wear.

but look to be less durable as daily drivers--they are showing some wear on the toes after a month.

but stuck with the 'Ilikai model as it was the most comfortable of the group.

Great look, comfortable to wear, and will last a long time.

Break in time was minimal and the arch support is just right.

They usually last about 1 year for neoprene and 2 years for leather, and all provide perfect support for higher arches.
