They do wear out a little weird, and I'll get into why a little further down.

They're kind of annoying to wear with jeans as a result and don't really look "right" with anything, to be honest.

And because the leather is fake, they wear out in kind of an ugly way.

On mine, the finish wore off in the toes, exposing whatever's underneath - kind of a white support structure of some kind.

I will say that they are not as comfortable, though, and I would not wear them as a flight instructor because of the potential for damage.

even though they are waterproof they are a dress boot and not suitable for anything more than lite casual wear.

After wearing them out a few times I have a couple of scuff marks deep into the leather which leads me to believe the leather quality is substandard.

They're not casual enough for shorts or wide legged jeans, not dressy enough for khakis or dress pants.

The sole is rubber, the "leather" is totally fake (and not all that convincing) and there is cushioning everywhere.

Your pants will get caught up on the highly padded tops of these.

However, these have a thick padding around the tongue, and it made my feet hot and sweaty.

I had bought Nunn Bush in a loffer style before and the shoes lasted me a long time.

Really comfortable fit
This is my second Nunn Bush chukka which says it all for their good, comfortable and consistent fit.

They are actually pretty comfortable! When I first got them, I was like "what the heck is this?!"

but I kept them because they were comfortable.

Definitely more comfortable than the "real" chukka boots I owned both before and after these.

Very comfortable stylish, we'll see how long they last and this will be the deciding factor if I buy this brand again.

but a choice between too big and too small was not really ideal.

These were a bit small, go up a half size and possibly a bit wider
The 8.5M (his normal size) turned out to be a bit small, so we returned them for a 9.0M that fit fine in length,


Flat hard sole with no arch support at all.

Obviously, the sole of this shoe is thoroughly worn out.

Were it not for my insoles, I'm sure I would have gotten a lot less use from this shoe.

The memory foam in the stock sole has long since perished from wear and overuse.

It broke first at the heel and the rear wall of the shoe.

Later, the hard support at the back of the heel broke after enough use.

The heel is rounded and while it has NOT broken through yet, it does seem as if my pair will have holes in them very soon should I continue to wear them.

Perhaps the best shoe I've owned
I purchased a brown pair of Nunn Bush Lancaster chukka boots in January 2018 and have been wearing them almost daily since.

With this purchasing experience, I've definitely taken notice of Nunn Bush as a company, and am looking forward to trying other products they make.

It is absolutely worth every penny of the price and then some and I will certainly be purchasing another pair.

If you are looking for some really nice looking, quality suede boots, these are a steal for the price.

These shoes are quite comfortable and can be used for anything heavy walking oriented.

Really Comfortable
I was worried I wouldn't be cool enough to wear chukka style shoes, so I hesitated getting these.

These shoes have been super comfortable from day 1 and they look great.

Great Quality, Extremely Comfortable and Very Sharp Looking Boots!

I've had them for about four months and I'm really impressed with the quality and comfort of these boots, and are EASILY the most comfortable I've ever owned.

In fact I saved my old pair of Dockers to wear when raining, and when I put those on after a few weeks of wearing the Nunn Bush's, it really became clear just how nice and comfortable these boots are.

I can't stress enough how comfortable and well made these boots are.

This is only a minor quibble though; these boots look REALLY nice, and the quality and color of the suede is outstanding.

This quenched dry, worn, and scuffed spots in the leather and made the shoes look brand new.

I've been wearing them now since November and they really look almost as nice as the day I bought them.

I wear a size 7 in most shoes, bought a 6 in these, and after about 6 months they are loose.


I can see these being a bit warm if you wear them all day.

The BAD news is that these are exclusively winter shoes, and you really need to wear socks with these things.

If you wear them barefoot or during  the summer your feet will become sweaty and moisture will build up inside the shoe (the lining is faux acrylic shearling, not real shearling, which is the reason why I am subtracting a star) and it will eventually smell ghastly.

Any piece of clothing worn nonstop will absorb your sweat and it will eventually smell bad.

I have definitely found a new brand to finally stick with after trying Minnetonka, Perry Ellis, Nunn Bush, and a couple of others.

I was pleased and felt the price I got it at was reasonable.

A good pair of slippers for a decent price.

When I originally got them they cost about 8 dollars less then they do now.

Considering all the dog walks on sidewalks these endured, and all the time spent on a cement patio and cement pool deck, and all the running around I did in them, I got my $$$ worth.

That's pretty good considering the price.

Having natural sheepskin is worth a lot to me (my feet never get "hot" like in synthetic linings) and the price for these slippers is cheap compared to other brands.

Love what they make
All the Nunn Bush have been great, I have six pairs.

Price is reasonable, they are very light weight, look great, and meet the requirements of most restaurants.

These shoes are very nice for the price and we always buy them for dress shoes/ Work shoes.

I own Clarks desert boots and these Nunn Bush are way better.

Given what I paid for them, I'm impressed by how well they've held up.

It's a boot you can be on your feet all day and still be comfortable in them.

These look great and fit very well.

Pretty solid
I bought these boots back in December, and I've worn them almost daily since then, including in a few circumstances that I hadn't intended to put them through (heavy rains, unexpected trips through the woods, etc.).

I like the cut on them and they fit great.

Fit is good, comfort is better than I had expected, and the chemical smell was non-existent on my pair (I probably got lucky).
