The style of the soles is strange looking with the hole in the middle of a thick sole (my guy didn’t like it at all)  -

Then the sole is not as soft as it looks.

The hole through the sole from side to side under the arch may need to be cleaned out from time to time or track in  some crud from outside,

but they didn’t fit his size 12 foot in width - they run very wide, much too wide for him to be able to wear these (but he is a thin guy).

The ones I got are size 11 and he usually wears a 10 and a half, so these appear to be maybe a half size small,

If you are looking for toe protection only (not entire foot) in a sneaker, and you have a wide foot, these seem to be a good price - currently around $40.

One criticism is the sole could use additional padding and arch support.

I have two pair of these and after normal wear, over a short period of time the soles leave black marks on our tile floors.

I purchased another high quality work boot in a wide size and it squeezed my foot to the point it was painful to even wear them.

Spent roughly 6 hrs in them working in the snow today and my feet stayed warm dry and comfortable all day!

As soon as I put them on and walked around I knew these were a good work boot.

I have a wide foot and in a wide size my toes can move freely inside the boot.

And these are by far, the best boots I ever bought.

About the only thing that could be a negative for some people is the odd look of the sole.

I own keen Nxis in red and the exact same size feels tighter than these.

If you're a new buyer, watch out because keen makes their shoes bigger than the size they advertise.

I found this style of Keen shoes to not be as comfortable as their others.

The insole could be improved, it's pretty hard.

but damn I'd even pay 250$ a pair so much I love them (specifically because they are so efficient for my field of work).

They don't slip (extremely important when going down a wet ramp so you don't kill yourself), they're extremely light for the toe protection they provide, and they're fricking waterproof in addition to that!

Otherwise they feel sturdy and the heel lock is nice

They're super durable too, unlike many other keen models I had where the outsole always eventually and inevitably peels off, with this particular model it looks like they figured it all out.

Other than that they are a very durable well built water resistant shoe.

Extremely comfortable and so far the tread is not wearing out to fast.

I wear most shoes out in 3 months with my job and it's looking like these will go way farther

I wear them all year long, here in Montreal we have slushy winters and these shoes are just perfect for staying dry and warm.
