However, New Balance apparently cannot figure out a non-leather material that has lasting toe wear coverage.

Every pair I’ve had in the last three years (and I have had four or five) has worn one or both toes out through the top of the shoe before the bottom has worn out (yes, I keep my toenails trimmed, thank you).

The most recent pair was purchased July 1 and now it’s October and the right toe is starting to wear a hole on top.

I am wearing them with no-shows, so that may account for the loose feel in the heel.

Unfortunately the heel of the shoe wasn’t narrow enough and slipped up and down, which seemed to make the shoe slap down onto the floor when I stepped.

But when I put them on, they kept falling off my heels.

It was too wide at the heel and slipped like a flip flop when trying to walk.

Tight fit
I bought these for my mom and she wears a size 6.

Fit is just slightly large, I wear 7 1/2-8, ordered 8 and feels a little loose.

Vionics fill my closet as since knee replacement they are the shoes that give me the most support and help with my overpronation of my ankles.

For me, that is a plus, as I have a slightly narrower foot than a medium width.
