Too tight
I do not have large calves: could not wear with socks or with jeans tucked in with size 8 (upsized from my usual size 7:5).

BUT I ordered I half size up and they are too narrow.

You must buy as the other buyers advised, one size up or else they will not fit!

If you are a size 9 and short of stature, these boots will be too long and go above your knee!

but these r really narrow and my feet were killing me after a couple hours at work (and I sit).

If u have sensitive feet to height or width being too narrow, wouldn’t get them.

These are completely waterproof and they fit very well.

I purchased these to wear around the farm (we have horses) and they've been great on those rainy, muddy days!!

They also aren't wide at the calf so I don't end up with mulch and rocks and unspeakable things finding their way in and my pants stay perfectly tucked in.

These are the perfect boots as they don't go all the way up to my knees.

They are super comfortable and really high quality and durable.

They are comfortable enough to wear all day, tromping around the pasture.

Disappointing for the price
Hunter boots have been my favorite for over 20 years.

My boots have reduce tick bites and chiggers… I’m assuming ticks find the smooth surface alien and drop off.

I thought the packable boots would be lighter and still maintain the original quality- since they are the same price.

Packable Boots are not worth the $150 paid… they feel more like a $60 boot.

Boot tore less than a year later.

Unfortunately, the rest of the boot fit really odd on both the 5 and 6 sizes.

but I could barely get my legs in these boots.

I'm disappointed that these didnt work out because I really liked the boot.

The shaft is narrow, and I have thin calves and have trouble finding boots that fit.

Hunter please don’t cheapen the quality of your product and maintain the price- I feel completely cheated - these packable boots are very poor quality.

Amazon issued a refund as Hunter would not honor the 2 year warranty!

These are surprisingly tight on the calves and fighter taller than I expected.

They feel more sleek and not as clunky as some rain boots.

Perfect for our winter trip to Vermont this week and for rainy days on the baseball fields watching my boys play!

Every time I splash through the puddles and kick water at unsuspecting passerby, they will be reminded that their day was slightly ruined and my day was made a little better all because of you!

Perfect boots for girls with narrow calves
I typically wear a size 6, so that is the size I ordered in these boots.

I wear a size 9, and the 9 boots fit me perfectly.

I went with a size 7 and they fit perfectly with or without warm socks.

I ordered an 8.5 wide.

Sadly these boots run on the narrower side of wide.

Too bad they don't have an extra wide, so I had to return.

I love the fact that they are waterproof.

I really like the style of these boots and the fact that they are "waterproof".

The stretchy part stretches ever so slightly providing the best fit without looking bulky like the extra wide calf boots do!

These boots are great for my calves which are quite muscular!

Ordered TWO pairs of these boots and BOTH cracked within 6 months
How very disappointing since Hunter brand boots are at a price point where I expected quality, and a true rainboot I'd enjoy for years.

But that didn't upset me -- no big deal..  What was surprising/upsetting is the rubber cracking which appeared six months in.

Same deal -- not even six months later the cracking started :-(  I LOVED these boots --

I am keeping these only to use them when I'm outside shoveling a lot of snow they're just so stiff it's hard to walk in them I feel like Herman Munster from the show The Munsters

but my calf size is too big for the Hunter Original and it would’ve been a little too tall for me (short people problem).

but I wish I would’ve gone a size down.

So disppointing..  Are these not true Hunter boots?

They arrived quickly and I wore the first pair during rainy spring/rainy summer days since they are light and easy to slip on & off.

The Hunter Original Play was the perfect high and calf wide for me

This rainbow is the most comfortable rainbows I've ever worn.

It has a softer material than most rainbows so that makes walking in them much more comfortable.

Based off other reviews it was suggested to order a 1/2 size down, I’m glad I did because they fit perfectly!
