This is my husband’s favorite sandal.

He had foot surgery for his bunion and hammer toe and doesn’t really like to expose his toes so these are what he likes to wear and they are very comfortable.

Although the leather is manmade, it does not look artificial and is probably more practical than genuine leather.

It won't scuff easily and will stand up to outdoor wet conditions (such as the beach) better than genuine leather.

When I first tried the new pair of size 13 slippers on my size 12 feet, they were very tight, uncomfortably snug.

So without a doubt these slippers are roughly 1½ sizes smaller than labeled.

The cloth material on the top and front of the slipper now has "burs" all over it, such that it could use one of those cloth shavers.

The only reason that I will now have to purchase new slippers is because the sole has now worn through under the ball of each foot.

I have wood and vinyl floors throughout most of my house (very little carpet and area rugs), so this might have contributed to the slippers wearing out already.

Maybe order a half size up so you can have the option of also wearing socks.

I would say that the sole is a little bit thinner than I expected and will probably wear out quickly if I wear them outside very much,

I definitely would recommend getting the next size up.

Not only were they too small, size 13 is now out of stock for more than another month.

I stood them up next to all of my size 12 shoes that fit comfortably, and they are smaller by ½ inch.

They are warm and have a very good tread.

I stuffed them tightly with wads of socks overnight and tried them on the next morning to find they stretched enough to be fairly comfortable.

UPDATE: (14 months later)  The slippers still feel very comfortable.

My left shoe where the laces go in, that flap part is crooked and not lined up to the right one.

My complaint about these shoes is despite the >$100.00 price tag, the lace these shoes with shoe strings that remind me of black dental floss.

I hated them so bad that I went to a store about a differ set of thicker laces more to my liking and, doing so improved the appearance of the shoes.

I don’t know how they are ok sending these out.

I am going to send these back and will find another USA brand.

One shoe fit perfectly, the other was very tight on top, causing severe pain.

I really liked the previous brown loafers that Thorogood produced, one the most comfortable work shoes I have ever owned, even better than Red Wings which were much more expensive.

The shoe looks very similar, except it no longer comes in brown and it more comfortable.

however very comfortable in my opinion if you can get past the angle of the insole.

but, the shoe inserts provided give me the necessary support to stand for prolonged periods of time and walking on cement floors.
