Update - Black coating wore off and feel heavy
These shoes are for my son who works as an electrician, who stands all day.

When he got home the outer black layer of the leather on the toes had worn off, showing the lighter colored leather underneath.

But I was disappointed that the outer leather coating wore off so easily and fast.

My son also said that the shoes felt very heavy and uncomfortable to wear at work all week long.

* The sizes listed are a bit confusing since it lists the same size for both men and women.

So I would recommend going up at least one size, from your normal size.

My other criticism for the black leather version was the lace choice.

The laces are very slick and round, making it harder for them to hold knots.

I sent these back because they were a half size too large and would have ordered the right size if they were in stock.

I'm finding they make my feet hot and sweaty.

The insole is removable/replaceable if you need an orthotic, and so you can replace it down the road if the rest of the shoe lasts.

The inner sole has enough cushion to support walking, and the firm outsole is a stable platform.

It is very hard finding my shoe size 18 w, So when I found this shoe with my size and with a great price, I had to buy it, these shoes are Soo comfortable and looks good

When I got the other style in the right size, I went out for a 4.5 mile walk to break them in with no comfort issues.

I’m the meantime, happy walking and standing for long periods of time.

I ordered these as a replacement for the exact pair I've had for several years, so obviously I have been happy with them.

I use custom orthodics and the insert in these shoe comes out to make room for them.
