I don’t like the way they fit my feet Feels very tight on my top right side of the small toe area, very uncomfortable.

However in appearance they don't look like a wide shoe and they are tight and uncomfortable across the instep.

However, I'm a little leery of the Velcro closure on the strap, which is the way most other brands with straps are also made.

Seems to me to be a cheap alternative to a real buckle, and I know from experience that Velcro does not hold up forever.

While out and about on my first wearing the heel strap rubbed.

but then I take an 11 1/2 or 12 depending on maker.The only down side and my reason for 4 stars is that the exposed hooks on the velcro that are not covered when the shoe is on collect any material they come in contact with.This leaves a 2 inch fuzz strip along the out side of the sandel.

Only down side is that the top leather straps stretch over time.

It would be great if the straps could be stitched so a person could cut off the stretched length without hurting their purpose or design.

Attention to detail to quality control is not what it once was.

That said, with three adjustable straps rather than the two in the quarter strap Rockport, among others, better materials, leather footbed rather than fabric, a quality synthetic sole rather than rubber while not Mephisto a better choice than many others.
