The leather soles are Blake welted, not Goodyear welted, so if I were a young guy seeking shoes to withstand decades of daily use and resoling, I don't know if I would pay the $178 for them, because Blake welting is more expensive to resole.

The only thing of note with shoes of this type(leather sole) is you need to be careful on slippery surfaces as the soles  are stick until broken in.

Fit is narrow and very tight around the ankle compared to any other shoes I’ve owned, and is very uncomfortable at the ankles if walking very far.

They were also very comfortable right out of the box.

When I got them, they were a perfect fit and comfortable.

(reasonably fit person wearing them with regular size ankles!)

The fit and finish were exceptional and I found them to fit as described in the sizing chart.

These are great alternatives t the major dept store brands and I can see myself ordering more of this brand in the future.

You probably want to order a size up, as if I had gotten a smaller size I doubt my toes would have fit under the protective resin at the front.

Material on front of shie ripped very easily after a minor rubb against a groved floor!

but for a shoe that's specifically designed for an environment with physical hazards, I find the speed of degradation concerning, and I'm not willing to drop $100+ every quarter on shoes that are becoming unwearable without going through a damage event.

Cons: Will not last 6 months without noticeable aesthetic damage.

These were ordered to use when I worked in a warehouse.

Had to buy a new pair so I bought the same shoes(thinkin that maybe my cat urinated on them.That’s how bad the odour is) Month later with the new shoes and they smell just as bad again.

I got the 13 wide here and while they fit, they are tighter than I was expecting, especially up by the resin toe, and feel more like a regular 12 on me.

Seem narrow, degrade fairly quickly for the price
The Terra work shoe seems to run a bit narrow.

If you're looking for a comfortable steel toe shoe, with plenty of toe room, I would recommend these.

The shoes are comfortable, especially because I need a wider toe box with steel toe shoes, and they look very nice.


Pros: Comfortable, easy to slip on/ off, lightweight.

Very lightweight which is great on back, 100% composite so I can go through security without setting off the detectors (and thus getting wanded).

This is  my second pair, first pair bought at local store lasted a year or so which is pretty good since I do 12 hour shifts on concrete/tarmac, up and down steel grates and ladders, exposed to oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid, water, kick stair and stand locks on and off, etc.

These are adorable, and the foot bed is very comfortable.

but they are super comfortable from the time I put them on.
