Even sized correctly, 9.5W, my foot can slip in the shoe even when tied tightly due to nothing really holding my foot in place.

My Paradigm 4s have 540 miles on them and was time to replace them.

So for foot issues and long distance runners, I highly recommend these shoes.

Very Light, Amazing Cushion
I've done a lot of running over the year.

I feel less pressure on joints when running.

They last, they are super comfortable and they look good 👍🏼 I tie the ones I use for walking outside and the ones I wear to work I leave untied.

but personally I find them better for walking due to the aforementioned design characteristics hampering aggressive movement.

First off, the cushioning on these shoes are great, incredibly comfortable almost rivaling Brooks Glycerin model in my opinion.

These have great cushioning so one of the most comfortable pair I’ve worn.

So in summary, if you like the style, they’re very comfortable; especially if you tend to like a wide toe box.

It’s a good shoe for longer slow recovery runs… a very unique shape in the toe, true to size and if you have a wide foot the wider option gives you room… I don’t normally wear a zero drop

My husband wears a 9 in the P-6 and they fit perfectly.

No color fading after daily use for a month, the sole is still intact after daily wear.

I wear a thin compression sock and my feet feel excellent the entire time.

but the 2020 version seems to have a very hard sole that doesn't cushion you as well and the shoe overall (especially the heel cup) seems narrower.

but I can still feel the rubber sub-structure on the bottom of my feet (I have some neuropathy, which may be the reason).

1. the blue fabric top of the insole seems to separate from the rest of the insole, and flap over inside the shoe.

but I don't like it;-) 2. for whatever reason, the padding on the outside of the instep (part at the top of the shoe that goes around your ankle) has a rip on the inside of both shoes.

The bottom of the shoe doesn't appear to wear out as fast - I have logged over 1200 miles since February, and had to replace the 16's after 3-4 months - the 18's don't seem to be wearing any where near as fast.

In Asics I need a M. In the Brooks Caldera, I have no choice--the M feels like a 3-4E, and is definitely VERY roomy in the toe box (comparable to a Nike 4E--not kidding!).

This extra room, is of course, helpful for trail running/hiking, especially for low-speed ascending on rough terrain,

Great walking shoes (I do some very light jogging as well - do to ankle surgery in past).


These shoes help keep a fat old man with over pronation issues running.

A lot of people with arch problems, like myself, practically live in this shoe: run, walk, etc.

Beast 2018 is WAY Better than the Beast 2020 Edition
Brooks has this annoying tendency to ruin every other version of this great shoe, "The Beast".

This is my 6th pair of Brooks Beast and they have never failed to meet and exceed my expectations.

The Brooks Caldera fits almost as well (they definitely have a wider footbed), and are super-cushioned.


Super comfortable for those who have ankle or arch issues.

These are hands-down the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Period.

People who run or hike long distances, or who are heavy, will greatly appreciate the cushioning in this shoe: it is very soft and comfortable, while being strong enough to not break down rapidly with use.

Going from more running type of workouts to BeachBody type, finding the right shoe has been tough.

I use them as gym shoes and have no issues walking, biking, or lifting in these shoes.

I got these in a size 9 and they fit perfect.

However, aftet that 2-ish week period they have become very comfortable.

They are SNUG and if use socks instead of a stocking, you'll need a half size larger.

I would recommend going up half a size because they are a bit smaller than your average shoe size.
