However the insoles are made of some kind of inferior foam that disintegrated in two spots where my foot applies pressure, after just a couple months.

Literal holes about 1/4-1/2 inch deep and an inch or so wide, wore into the insoles with the foam just crumbling away in those two places (at the heel and on the ball of the big toe in each shoe).

but they shouldn't have worn away so easily and quickly for supposedly being a "nice" brand of shoe.

These are comfortable, esthetic light hikers, which work well for daily casual wear.

Been where in work boots for 30 years and this is one of three pairs that was actually worth the money and did what it was bought for .

My husband has had expensive boots such as redwing he often complains of how narrow the toe area is on boots he also has sensory issues that make finding a boot difficult We had plans to go to the mountains to do some hiking and I found these and honestly thought they wouldn't fit him right and prepared myself for a return process however he wore them not only on our hiking trip

but everywhere he threw his red wings out for these boots I was shocked at how much he likes these boots I purchased them a year ago and they are still holding up the only thing we did do is every 6 months we put water resistant on them they work so well with him that we purchased another pair for his dad

I think they look good and are just right for a mid-use boot.

but stretched out into a comfortable fit. Happy with the purchase:)

I only wish there was a regulation against calling anything leather when it contains no leather.

Most of the time the problem is that the shoes won't "wear" and stretch to your unique foot shape.

I would say that, based on my feet, I would not recommend standing in a place for a long time in these, because that elastic effect can be somewhat uncomfortable to remain completely still.

What this means is that it will slide off to the side and your metatarsal will be exposed to the laces.

I can not see how these shoes would ever be used for climbing with the tongue sliding all over the place.

It happens every time I put them on making them very uncomfortable.

If you are neutral prone and want a great everyday shoe for outdoor work or walking your dog 5 miles on a trail the X-Raise was a great shoe.

but my boss complimented me on casual Friday wear when I wore ON shoes and they are so bleeping comfortable.
