The footbed and ankle support on these very expensive shoes became weak after a month.

I was concerned about the price (rather expensive),

The New Balance shoe was not comfortable (stitching and material on the inside pressed on my foot), the shoe tongue did not center itself and bunched up, the Velcro straps were too long, and the overall construction seemed to lack quality and attention to detail compared to the SAS shoe.

The New Balance shoe also looked like an old man's orthopedic shoe.

The New Balance was sent back for a refund.

but since they offer no real support at all, eventually my feet broke down and really started hurting by the end of each day.

The shoes fit beautifully, and with the addition of a good pair of drugstore orthotic insoles I found them to be more comfortable than my slippers.

I have worn them for the past several days and hate to take them off as they are more comfortable than my "good" slippers! HOMERUN!

I belive theywere 'Nike's The running shoe felt like I was walking on air  compared to my old Converse all Stars'' Well these Sas shoes feel the same compared to other so-called 'walking'shoes of today), these are my second pair, welding 'spader' and sloppy painting ruined my first pair.

I'd been a runner years ago and worn New Balance running shoes and thought of them at the time as a well made shoe.

These shoes are absolutely the best walking shoes I' ve ever seen, or wore
When I was in my twenties, (40 yearsago), I would run 5 to 8 miles everyday.

The SAS shoe fit well from the first time I wore it.

but based on my initial impression and the posted reviews, I'm expecting to be able to wear these for a long time! !

I wore them the whole day the very first day.

stitching good, all the parts well fitted, and overall well designed.

I have worn various styles of SAS shoes off and on over the years and have liked all of them for fit, comfort and overall quality.

Size was right on and quality as usual is superb for SAS! !

After trying SAS shoes I only buy SAS Shoes.

I will definitely be buying them againand again If you were my brother, or best Friend, (and a serious walker) - I'd  tell you to buy them-Another Big reason to buy Sas shoes,  Their made in the USA - Not China.
