Vibram Women's Five Fingers, KSO EVO Crosstraining Sneaker

uncomfortable

I’m sending these back since it looks like a factory defect in the internal stitching causing the discomfort.

Running in these shoes gave me a blister on the side of my foot, and it was painful.

stretchy

I've worn them 2 days now hoping they will stretch a bit.

They felt a little too tight the first time I put them on, so I loosened the laces in the fore- and mid-foot, and they fit much more comfortably.

but I wish they were just a tiny bit looser.

If they were made of a stretchy upper material, I think they would be 100% comfortable.

I didn't know whether or not they would stretch out or not.

roominess toe

but needed 37s for a little extra room for my toe nails to not bruise.

It's like Vibram doesn't think about people with arches and the big toes are so tight.

but my big toes fill the whole toe space.

damage

The only sad part is they've already got a hole in the sole and my dogs are about to be set free after only 3 months of wear.

My two pairs of Alitzas are on their last few miles before I put holes in the soles, both are 37s with room to spare so my toes don't feel cramped.

After about 5 years with my vapor gloves permanently attached to my feet, I wore a hole at the bottom of the heels.

sizing

inconsistant sizing I bought these to be house slippers amd ordered the wool .

Sizing is the only issue OK..so if you have worn vibram's before you are used to your EU size (I'm a 39).

But I'm leaving my 1 star because I can't get over the sizing issue.

One of the main things I loved about Vibrams was that the sizing was precise and carried over from model to model.

running shoe

I’ve worn other five finger shoes for running, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling (under flippers), rock climbing, yoga, weight training, and military PT.

They recommended a pair of name brand running shoes for me.

I started searching websites for more information about running shoes.

The more I looked, the more I was finding out about barefoot running and shoes that were like barefoot.

The first was the womens trail running shoes.

I went to this running shoes store in McDonough, GA. Dave was there and he is great - he will take care of you!

snorkeling

comfortable

I don’t think I can ever wear normal shoes again Vibrams are so comfortable!

Easy to get on and off when you get to know how and super comfortable.

They are actually a little snug, which surprised me.

but I’m still wearing them, so they are more comfy than most shoes I have owned.

Felt really comfortable, almost like I was wearing no shoes.

I had seen people at the stores with them on for a few years now and every person I saw wearing them I would always ask were they comfortable and did the separated toes bother them.

They all said VFF were very comfortable and toe separation was not a bother.

wear

Helped me strengthen my foot muscles I wear these shoes around the house a few days a week.

I wear them weight lifting and other inside workouts (not running).

but the more you wear them the easier it gets.

I wear a solid size 8 and have always worn 38-39 depending on the model of five finger shoe.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pair of VFF KSO EVO I currently wear.

I wore them every single day and was putting about 50+ miles a week in them, never having any pain after any of my runs.

I loved my vapor gloves so much that I wore them for a couple of years with the holes in the soles while I was in search of its replacement.

hiking

I've even hiked to and from 10 waterfalls in these shoes since I got them and I can say these are the best hiking shoes I've ever worn.

*EDIT*: Wore these hiking on an unexpectedly long hike (our first hike ever and it was 4 miles, half of it was steep).

By the end of the hike I was sure I was dying -

Don’t get me wrong, they were very tired from all that walking and climbing,

Should they stretch down the line, the laces will take care of any looseness.

strap

sole

The only issue I have is that the sole wears pretty fast,

They're kind of interesting in that the whole bottom of the shoe has holes all the way to your foot, which is what lets the water escape.

even though the water didn't get up to the fabric part of the shoe, my socks got drenched from the water coming through the sole.

sock

I am uncertain if I should wear socks when I walk.

We were specifically looking for a water shoe that could also be work and work as a running shoe - both for performance and for look.

Awesome I used these for snorkeling in the keys.

waterproof

These shoes are nice looking and perfect for water aerobics.

Water drain out of them quickly and sand and rocks don’t get in.

Comfortable shoe I have been using this exact style of shoe for water aerobics for years.

These were perfect for water activities at the beach.

Well-made perfect water shoe that isn't ugly!

Many of the beaches require hiking in and then some are rocky in the water.

Walked in them--but, not MUCH support--but perfect for the beach, and light walking, and playing in the water.

But when walking through streams and water, I most definitely will not, as my foot breathes fine!

They were comfortable and you couldn’t feel rocks or broken shells.

Comfortable, fits a little big These are really comfortable water shoes!

purchase

Works Great I bought these for a fishing trip I took with my grandkids.

I bought my actual size and they fit great.

We bought 4 pairs of these for our trip to Sardinia, Italy.

Basically flip flops with a top I have wide feet and probably should have thought of that when ordering these.

walking barefoot

Different, in a good way I live near a lot of parks/nature with mowed grass and I wanted to start walking barefoot in the grass to get the barefoot experience and roughen up my feet.

walking

The soles are super thin and I wouldn't dare hike or run in these shoes (more like gloves for the feet) or even walk on pavement with them very much as I don't think the soles would last one month.

Then I proceeded to face planting the grass in front of my sons entire school.

sole grip

As I was accelerating, the soles would slip with every step.

I've been running this way for about a year and a half, after experiencing my fill of running-related injuries that, as it turns out, appear to have been directly related to those thick, cushioned boat anchors that the salespeople insisted I needed because of my particular foot structure.

But if you have some barefoot or minimalist miles under your belt, and you want an ultra-thin sole, slip-on ease, and a highly responsive experience, the EL-X is the VFF for you.

Best Barefoot Running Shoe This is my go to and only running shoe.

but the traditional running shoes were recommended to "correct my pronation" (becoming a barefoot runner tends to make you recognize the silliness of that sort of diagnosis).

In any event, I say this only to demonstrate that I have a background with traditional running shoes, then ditched them completely.

I also went swimming and snorkeling with them on.

I like a little breathing space for my foot vs a tight rock climbing shoe fit.

but I found myself shifting when moving even though they were a perfect fit.

Fits Like a glove I really like these "shoes" to the point where I use them almost everyday.

Fantastic I actually didn't think these would fit

Not too difficult to get into and fit lovely around my feet.

Then I bought another pair of VFFs whose name I can't recall, sized at an REI salesperson at size 41, and they fit nice and snug, comfortable even with my Morton's toe.

barefoot

These socks made all the difference and made them feel super comfortable while still maintaining the barefoot feel.

They are super comfortable and really do have a barefoot feel!

So I bought these 5 finger barefoot shoes and I really like them.

A Wonderful Running Experience First, a bit about me: I am a barefoot runner, and by barefoot, that's what I mean: no shoes.

I didn't do the "minimalist transition to barefoot;" I am doing the barefoot transition to minimalist, because sometimes I just want a little bit more protection under my soles.

A wise barefoot guru once told me that if you can run barefoot, you can run in everything, and he's absolutely right.

Was able to maintain the same high cadence that barefoot running encourages, the same leg spring, the same full foot flex, all important components of good barefoot form.

I highly recommend these for experienced barefoot or minimalist runners.

True barefoot running utilizes dormant muscles and connective tissues you never knew you had, and these shoes are an extremely close approximation to that experience.

I was intrigued and convinced of Vibram before I bought them.

I bought this just before going on a cruise and it was perfect.

I’d been toying with buying a pair of cinemas for a long time.

So, I bought ordered these and they arrived yesterday.
