I took a star off because of scratches and damage box.

Con: The black rubber on the sides of the shoe WILL leave black streaks on your lanes if your foot tilts slightly while making contact with the floor during your release.

The only complaint I have is that one of the shoelaces was frayed and needed to be replaced.

The only issue is that I'm not used to a solid, flat sole.

On the contrary, the padding behind the heel is quite comfortable and the soft pad at the ball of the foot slides well on the lane.
