Most boots don't have this, and ultimately you'll sweat, the sweat will get cold, and your feet freeze.

a little tight in the instep
one boot goes on easy the other is a little tight in the arch, this may be due to the liner not being compressed as much or maybe one foot having a higher arch.

Great warm boot
Last winter I fought the northeast blizzards in sneakers. Awful.

I've heard they're warm, waterproof (probably my biggest thing), have a lifetime warranty and look solid.

They always keep my feet warm, they look nice, have amazing traction, are waterproof and tough.

The boots would work well for heavy rain, moderate cold, some snow.

The arguably best part of the boots is the inner felt boot.

Bean Boots and the like are much lighter and sleeker.

I normally wear a 10 1/2 so I ordered size 11 and they fit great.

Both sizes were way off, I couldn’t get my foot in the boot, that’s how small they are.

I use this for working rain or muddy ground.

These were decidedly too small, I couldn’t even consider I might be able to keep them sadly.

Asics definitely run small, so 11 is probably my "actual size" (if there is such a thing in footwear).

Also, the fit is a full size or more too small, as others have pointed out.

I have a pair of sorrel boot s that are at least 15 years old and do not remember them running this small.

but had to get an 11 with the fit still being snug but not too small.

There is so much variability in sizing between brands, that it is frustrating.

I purchased my normal size - way too tight - I returned them.

Bought another pair from another vendor, size 11.5, and it was a much better fit.

You will need to go up at least a full size.

My only real negatives are the boot height and lacing.

The height is a little on the tall side if you have muscular calves and the eyelets for the laces are too big which makes lacing them up tight a challenge.

The laces want to slip through if you don't keep constant tension on them.

I had about 2 thumbs width on top of my toes and my feet kept sliding slightly back and forth in the boots

The big advantage of Sorel is that their rubber is more pliable than other brands I have tried.

Decent boots that are true to fit and can be worn with regular socks.

When the boots arrived, I was happy to discover that they weren't as small as some had stated in the older reviews.

What I especially like is that these boots are not big & chunky.

You can actually drive a car with them on unlike some of the big snow boots that you would wear to go snowmobiling etc.

Update 12/20:  I’ve now used these boots in the snow and cold, and I highly recommend them.

though they would be extremely warm, possibly even too warm to wear on a walk in a UK winter.

Just give it time for the insole to mould to your feet or flatten then you have a perfectly fitted warm sorels.

I also use those red and grey winter socks and still comfy with a little wiggle room.

Initial impression is they are very good quality, and they seem comfortable as I trundle around the house in them.

They have good traction and keep your feet toasty warm, even with a single layer of socks.
