I have very wide feet and large ankles and legs due to swelling, and the top of the ankle part of the boot is very stiff and needs time to break in and make it less rigid.

Part of the reason for this is that they do run a bit large in size,

At the beginning it was digging in to my leg at times, Eventually with wearing longer socks to protect my leg more and with more wear the opening softened up a bit and wasnt uncomfortable any more.

At over 75, living on my horse ranch in Texas, these are even easier & quicker to put on just to feed than my tall cowboy Ariat work boots that I love.

They are very comfortable on the feet, with plenty of room for you to wiggle your toes and such.

That being said, they still look good, and they do not really show wear and tear either, so they are very well made.

I've been wearing them for about a month now with zero wear and tear issues.

As far as comfort, they're acceptable as long as I'm wearing thick socks - which I tend to do anyway.

The toe is from mishandling pallet jacks (learning new skills make you appreciate steel toe) and the inside is from not untying the shoe before removal.

but to have the soles split in the same place on both shoes seems a design flaw or shoddy materials, neither of which is forgivable.

Also, the soles on both shoes are splitting which means they're going to fall apart in the next couple months.

Great Steel Toe Option vs Boots
I’ve used timberland steel toe boots for years and wanted a tennis shoe type option.

Pretty quickly the bottoms got smooth, which made it easy to slide.

They are as slip resistant as a shoe can be in oil puddles on a slick floor.

Perfect if you're looking for something smaller than a boot,

I've had good luck with the Timberland boots,

Very comfortable, even more so with the timberland insoles that you can purchase separately.

They definitely aren't light by any stretch of the imagination, and the treads pack up really easily,

I'll probably have to wear some thick warm socks because these have zero insulation to them,

Wearing out on me and my safety
Since February 24th that I've ordered this shoe.

Found these as an alternative to another brand I ordered and waited 3 weeks and still hadn't received.

I ordered half a size up and they are a tad bit too large now.

That itself is not safe for this shoe to be worn any longer.

It's important to note that the pair I received do NOT look exactly like the picture, as I believe they changed their design slightly, and more than likely fixed the sizing issue found in some older reviews.

Regardless, these are 100x better than any steel toe boot in my opinion because they are way more comfortable, and they look like regular shoes,

They looked nice, had good non slip bottoms and were quality and had good steel toe inserts.

I tried option 2, and it left significant red marks in my skin after only a 3 mi hike.

Perfectly placed so that the option 1 will cause the seam to rub against the user’s skin.

I did so, AND selected the wide option, yet I still find the boots narrow.

I work 12 hour shifts at a steel mill and these boots are so uncomfortable, even after breaking them in.

I can't use insoles because they make the met guard rub against my foot in an uncomfortable way.

I have narrow feet and this is the first time I've had this problem.

but my feet are killing me more then any other boot I've worn.

They run really big as I wear a 9 in shoe's so I ordered two pairs a 9 and a 8.5.

The top of these boots is a little loose on my skinny legs
