The only true complaint I have is that it takes some wiggling to get my foot in, because there's no back heel zipper.

but it's not easy to get your feet into the heels when there are no zipper or angle strap openings but the opening only stretches on the sides.

I also had to wax the zippers in each pair as they were very stiff.

The lining  sometimes gets stuck in the zipper!

but the zipper is on the OUTSIDE of the shoe which I think detracts from the look.

but if, like me, your feet are wide I suggest you look elsewhere.

but a bit narrow on the front (by the big toe).

The wide width was definitely not wide and there is little to no arch support.

Painful to wear
I bought these for the wide toe box associated with Keens.

Then, they developed a hole on the inside near my heel and that was also painful.

but narrower then my past shoes, even though their literature says they were molded on the original sizing (paraphrased).

When I first got them, the tongue would bunch up under the laces and hurt the top of my foot.

I could only alleviate this by tying them less tightly, which caused my foot to slide around.

The only problem I have with them now is that they have a severe squeak (the right sole) and they came that way, it wasn't the wearing of them that caused it..

I think, and maybe it is why they were "on sale", that they were actually seconds, the sole not completely or permanently glued to the shoe.


Just finished hiking with them and the shoe fits perfectly, sole and tread is very sturdy!

I LOVE Keen shoes because they are wide enough to fit my foot that was crushed and healed with a wide bunion.

I have wide feet along with bunions and was very surprised at how well the 9 regular fit.

The shoes are really comfortable.

But when I do find the right size, I will like them because I can tell they're comfortable.

I normally wear a 6 1/2 medium, which is what I ordered, and the shoe fits perfectly.

I wear orthotics and the shoe's foot pad can be easily removed without tearing anything in order to slip the orthotics in.
