in the middle of the shoe are just straps so if you hike in mud or rain you are going to soak your socks.

My main disappoint is the advertised arch support.

The inserts included clearly do not have additional or improved  arch support.

When I take out the inserts and feel around the arch area, it does not feel contoured, as if thre is arch support built into the shoe.

These also ran just a bit larger than I expected (I normally wear mens size 8 and it fits perfectly),

The are a little snug in spots around the ankle and a little loose in the toes.

The tread and soles are strong, definitely good for hiking, unless you need the ankle support by boots.

Lightweight and comfortable; best for drier environments or hiking
These unique hiking shoes are a great fit for hiking in dry weather!

They are the lightest hiking shoe I've tried

Overall, I would recommend these hiking shoes - just know that they are almost like a hybrid of hiking boots and sandals.

Once again these are comfortable and provide excellent arch support

This shoe is even more comfortable than a similar Lands End shoe that I had to replace.

Perfect packable hiking shoes
I bought these for a winter trip to Phoenix/Sedona/Page/Death Valley where we averaged about 10 miles a day hiking.

I did have to order 1/2 size bigger than normal.

Nice comfy hiking shoes I’ve owned so far!

My feet were dry, warm (even in 30 degree temps), supported, and blister free the whole time!

I have tried to wear them on and walking with them all day long and they are the most comfortable shoes yet.

They're warm, gortex and the traction is phenomenal and that's the important part for her.

The best part was they’re so light compared with hiking boots so they were a breeze to travel with in just a carry on.

We believe this is the right boot for her.

Great lightweight, waterproof hiking shoe.

First time wearing the shoe I went hiking and it was very comfortable! !

but I'm not a fan of the quick lace hooks at the top of the boot.

More cons: The zipper does not serve any purpose other than for looks.

So it is no good for unzipping and taking the boot off.

But, while my foot did fit, it made the shoe fit tight around the laces.

but still some tightness around the laces.

Good Lucking Shoe a Little Stiff
They could be a little more flexible in the middle sole for my taste

I was wary when I first put them on as I found them to be too stiff or rigid for my liking

If this were sized for a U.S. man's foot, I should have been able to wear my arch supports without removing the shoe's insole.

I would have preferred to have the rigidity and form of my custom arch supports combined with the cushioning of the shoe's insole.

but thought they could break in so I wore them for 7 days in a row and byt the end of that time I found them to be very supportive but sufficiently comfortable for a hiking shoe.

All said, a good, well made, lightweight hiking shoe.

The quality is great, they are lightweight, comfortable and easy to break in.

Favorite boots
These shoes did not require a break in time (thank goodness, because due to poor planning I didn't have any time to get the job done).

I liked that the rivet for the  little hook that holds the lace is covered so it doesn't dig into your ankle/leg from the inside of the boot.

Was abit small, slightly uncomfortable, after wearing out then know the problem.

Three weeks after return date, shoe is still too small.

but it’s not comfortable, it runs too small and the upper tongue part is very poorly designed IMHO, it’s  thick so you will sweat a lot, and also part where it attaches to actual shoe it’s gonna be very uncomfortable bulge against your foot

I usually wear a size 10US-11US size shoe, ordered a 10.5 and they run a little snug.

Based on this, you might want to consider at least a half-size up from your usual N.A. size.

I kept the shoe past the return date, believing an 11.5 should fit perfectly based on the feel of the 11 and the fit of my other brand shoes.

They fit well, they stabilize me on rocky terrain and great ankle support.
