I had to rear these shoes a bit at a time because they hurt to break in.

A pleasant surprise was the (hidden) velcro snap on the instep which made it very easy for my 2-1/2 year old to put on herself.

Ordered one size larger and even them is too small

Shoe size is off
I'm not sure if American feet are different,

but the size I ordered could have been slightly bigger to be more comfortable and was made was too tight near the toes, so they would not stay on my feet.
