i wear a 9 regular and bought a 9 and everything else about this boot is amazing.

The good stuff: these boots are very well made, absolutely waterproof, and VERY comfortable.

Which in turn, after the second wear during trick or treat, the boot had softened up and was no longer rubbing my foot. 2.)

I love these boots, got a good deal and actually got one in black and the other in brown.

With that being said, I had on a medium thick wool sock and my feet stayed warm and dry.

These boots lasted less than 8 months before they split on the sides and came away from the sole and the sole itself is just shredded and no good.

But the leather cracked and they lost waterproofness.

Enough that I thought a small amount of moisture may be getting in or coming through the holes at the upper boot.

The fit in the heel is loose despite the difficulty getting the heel fully seated in the boot.

I wore them on a dog walk this morning and I continued to notice looseness in the heal and tightness across my instep.

I bought these for my husband who is a shepherd and works hard every day on a farm.

I wore them and after 3 different insoles and planters foot inserts finally can work without pain.

Toe box room is perfect (I took out the second insole, as Bogs instructs if you're looking for a wide fit.

LIKES: Fit (very comfortable and the insole does bounce back to form and has a sturdy cushion that appears will continue to be resilient), waterproof (no seams = no water), easy on/off, true-to-size (ordered 14 knowing I"d be wearing thick socks and returned for my true 13).

Bottom line: a good-fitting boot is one that you forget you have on once you're 5 minutes into wearing them.

However, right now, they are the best of a mediocre to bad fit for me (I want to emphasize it's not that the boots are mediocre or bad - they appear to be a quality boot that will last a long time, I'm evaluating the fit of the boot hopefully to help others who might have a similar foot to mine).

I have other Sorel boots in both sizes 9.5 and 10, and the 9.5 fit perfectly.

I usually wear a size 8/8.5, the 8.5 is perfect.
