My only gripe is that the soles wear out soooo fast

I've realised how much Asics trail shoes do that as I've been wearing my old pair recently just for walking and they have been rubbing the base of my third toe of both feet to the point of being sore.

First impression with Trail Glove 5 was that it was slightly too big (I wear size 11 and bought the same size)

I think that I may hit the durability issue a bit earlier than expected - since soles show some signs of wear.

My last 3 trail gloves i owned my foot rubbed right through the fabric at the knuckle of my big toe. So far i havent noticed any wear (will update if this problem re-occurs.)

Cons: Changing shape and design again: I'm habitual, I want one set of shoes that work and just keep sending me copies more rigid sole than previous models: I buy these because it feels like im running barefoot.

Bluntly put they are painful to run in off road as they don't have any support whatsoever.

If I was using them for very rocky terrain I would probably find another pair with slightly thicker soles.

The toe box is roomy, they have more substance and support than the vapor glove series, and look good.

These have plenty of toe box width for the average foot

I ordered a size 8.5 shoe and received a size way too big.

I wear a 9 I'm my other Keens.These did not fit.Too small so I suggest you size up.

I could tell just by looking at them that they were small for a size 11.

They don't stay tied.. so double tie is necessary or else you will be stopping frequently to retire.

The strings are a little slippery and I have sometimes had to re-tie them after I get started as they tend to loosen a little bit.

rub ankle

The hiking boots usually rub on the back of my ankle.

This pair rubs on the outside of my right ankle, not the left.

My only complaints are that they squeak like sneakers quite frequently, my right shoe rubs up against my ankle bone (not sure if this is a side effect from breaking my leg a few years ago or what), and they're not as pretty as I thought they would be.

If you have high arches and need a hiker with a wide toe-box, this is a shoe for you.

They have arch support and the soles don't compress like they do in other shoes.

This shoe is perfect for those with high arches, small ankles with needed support and a slightly wider toe box.

Everything fits normal and toe box is amazing-plenty is room and at the sane time it doesn’t feel way too roomy.

I have been an ASICS Nimbus fan for years.

I was so happy to put my foot back into a perfect shoe with ASICS Nimbus 21.

It took me a while to actually come to a decision which pair fits me better-nimbus 20,21 or kayano 25.

I picked these-super comfy, great support, fits me like a glove.

My foot feels like on top of the cake-so soft and almost invisible support.

but the super, extra wide width at the toes is great for my feet.

I expected more from Merrell
I have a closet full of Merrell shoes…because they have a high, wide toe box and because they are comfortable, reasonably-priced and long-lasting.
