Update 2 -  I've been wearing these since May, and with the groves in the sandal trapping the dirt and sweat, that foot smell has become trapped in the sandal.

The arches are a little far back for my feet though, i wear a size 11 or 12 shoe depending, so i ordered a size 11 sandal.

The problem is, the thickness of the pad prevents the strap from being pulled all the way through the loop and tightened.

The pad hits and you can't pull it any tighter.

Another problem with the foam pads is that they'll retain foot sweat and breed bacteria.

My Teva's have never had padding under the straps where they go against your skin.

The texture traps dirt and then it mixes with your sweat and becomes a nasty black goo.

Almost feels like my feet are super wrinkled, like i was walking in wet socks and shoes all day.

and they fit perfect, my toes and heel are just short of the ends of the sandal, not extra sandal sticking out to trip over or flip rocks up under my feet.

I really like the traction on the bottom, that's the other reason i switched to these, other than the price.

To begin with these Camel's are fairly comfortable.

and i'm happy, they're actually quite comfy, and sitting back down at my desk the ridged texture on the soles gives my toes something to play with lol.

I got these for my 12-year old and unfortunately got mixed up with girl’s and women’s shoe sizes, so they ended up being to small for her.

Unfortunately, they are very narrow and don’t fit feet of normal width, much less wide feet.

Sorel Women's Winter Boots

had to return/exchange

Had to return for a 6, and I have never worn a size 6 shoe in my *life*.

So unfortunately they're going to be returned.

but very odd fit
I ended up having to return this pair (bought 2 sizes up) for a pair 3.5 sizes up.

I dragged everything to return and exchange for 7.5 via mail.

Yet again I dragged it back to exchange for size 7.

And now it's going to take my 3rd roundtrip to return these because the tongue padding is so thick (see my photo), it's painfully rubbing the little bone that sticks out on the inner ankle right above the foot.

All in all a huge hassle to lug these back and forth to return!! !

No joke, these run super small
Usually when reviewers say a shoe runs small, I'm all over it because I'm on the small end of a size 5.

but the foot length is what seemed too small for me.

I have narrow feet, high arches, my second toe is slightly longer than my big toe, slender ankles, minimal calves, and my shoe size universally is like a 7.5 W. I bought a 9.5 and it was way too short and my toes felt crammed.

There is a weird circular thing I can feel under the center of the sole close to the arch that feels like a raised logo like 3-4cm in size, I eventually got used to it,

Let me save your sanity regarding sizing
Getting the right size was maddening.

However the size 7 in this Whitney is actually LARGER THAN THE 7.5 of the prior Whitney version.

My only complaint is about the tongue which really should be wider.

I should have gone up to 8 because these shoes are so impossibly slim I can only wear them in winter with very thin socks.

Note to Sorel- customers have been begging for years for these boots to be made wider.

Maybe if Sorel made the boots wide enough so I could actually wear a winter sock with this, it wouldn't rub!


I ordered about 6 different pairs due to the very confusing reviews!

but it's a bad flaw and insoles can mask it but there's no reason for it to be there (it was instantly felt in all 3 pairs I bought).

When I moved the tongue away from that bone it awkwardly padded the outside of my foot and looked weird.

I was super excited about these boots because they're not big and clunky like my "monster Sorel winter boots" and they will be more comfortable for traveling, commuting, etc.

The sole grips well, my feet are actually warm, and no blisters or rubs,

I hope this helps people :) I LOVE them - so comfortable, possibly on the narrow side which is ok for me.

There's just a little bit of arch support and super squishy insoles that make them very comfortable.

These are incredibly warm and so far waterproof (up to where the gap on the sides of the front tongue cover are).

but if you have a narrow foot, buy much bigger than you need and can get these snug for you, they are warm and comfortable.
