Now, these shoes are NOT wide by any means.

But if you NEED wide shoes, these are not them.

I think they either need to be broken in or were stiff because of the soul of the shoes.

The only complaint is that the shoe laces are made of a slightly scratchy material which is woven and makes them hard to tie.

However, they are pretty grippy and will stay tied if they are pulled tight.

The inserts are removable, so you can replace them with what you need if you need different inserts.

To be honest my son hasn't even tried these on yet because what's not in the picture that they show you is some weird writing on the side and it looks like it's trying way too hard to be Nike it looks like a major knockoff brand they're super stiff they're going to take a while to fit in

Great Fit and Looks
I read how one should expect the size to be a hair small so I ordered half size larger so it fit as expected.

The good news is the foot bed is removable, so if you need more arch support (or less), you can put in your favorite foot bed.

These are comfy and grippy as heck, they have a nice spongey bounce to them.

I first wore them for a 30 NM night race and they were very comfortable and quick drying.

but I wore them for a full day out boating on some rough seas, and they were very comfortable.

After seeing other reviews I ordered a 10 instead of my 9.5 so they came out perfect.

I ordered 1/2 size larger than normal and they are perfect.

Toe box not quite right for toes, slightly too narrow, edge across top cuts into foot, needed a shoehorn to put them on.

But that faded quickly because the insole made the shoes pretty narrow, and my feet are on the narrow side of medium.

If you're an average to wide foot: avoid these like the plague.

Without the removable insole the shoes are way too wide in the instep.

With the removable insole the shoes are the tiniest bit too narrow in the instep.

Unfortunately I had to return the shoe because with my RA the toe box was a little too shallow for my one bad foot and I was afraid it would not stretch enough to not cause pain.

If I don't use the insole the shoes slip off my feet when I'm walking so I can't really wear them that way.

I can even wear them without a sock liner because that removable insole keeps my feet dry.

They fit snug, have excellent foot support, smooth upper leather, rubber soles.

I always wear a 7 in Mephisto, but tried on in store and needed 7 1/2 in this shoe.

Very comfy and glad I went with a bit larger size.

but I'm looking forward to wearing them and am sure in the hotter summer months these will be comfortable alternative to sneakers.

Perfect shoes for imperfect feet
I already own 2 pair of these shoes, the only shoes with soft, supple leather that do not hurt the bone spur (hallux rigidus) which is causing a lot of pain on top of a bunion on one foot.

First off they look great if the style is something you're OK with they are well done, clean, the leather is nice.

They were still a bit too small, and narrow in the toe box.

The Dressfast has good leather outers and leather lining and very nice removable insoles.

Love how comfortable theses shoes are and they are attractive.
