When I pulled the shoes out of the box, I couldn’t believe how heavy they were the last thing I want when I’m hiking is a heavy, heavy shoe I return them

So I returned them and got a 9 and those fit much better.

If I didn't already wear them before realizing, I would've returned them.


So, a big thank you to Amazon who took back my Targhees after the date to return - one of the heels was giving blisters

These boots are very comfortable while on a long walk.

I have been wearing these shoes for long walks and moderately-long hikes, on a variety of terrain, and --  so far -- I am super-pleased with them!

This is the most comfortable keen I've owned.

So very comfy,no blisters,water proof and very light.

They are very comfortable once you break them in (a couple weeks for me), they remain quite water-proof when traversing woodland with occasional rills and other wet areas, and I have found them to offer better traction than I dared hope for the price.

But once on, walking in them is fantastically comfortable.

These boots are so much more comfortable and I would really recommend them.

The balls of my feet weren't hurting after the walk.

I have worn them hiking up and down ravines, through muddy woodland areas, on hard-packed road with widely-scattered loose rocks, and even on a small area of loose sand -- so far, they have performed beautifully in keeping my feet, ankles, and knees stable and making me feel secure when I walk.

but with the Voyageur you can feel a lovely sponge like shock absorption when you walk.

but not long into the walk were loose enough but still sturdy to keep my ankles stable.

If you love to do very long and uphill walks and want reasonably priced sneakers that will last longer than a year, you have got to pick Camel Crown!

They are also great for woods hiking and rock climbing or walking on rocky paths.

Boots look great, but I ordered the wide version, not wide enough for my duck feet.

I wear a New Balance 4E width, these were not even close unfortunately.

Not Waterproof
Tried Columbia in the past and was disappointed when boots with "waterproof" imprinted on the back left my feet wet.

"Out Dry - Absolutely Waterproof" is not the case.

but require them to be waterproof so I'm returning these and won't be going back to Columbia brand for waterproof footwear.

Less comfort for longer distance - inner sole less cushioning.

I found them very comfortable and so far very waterproof,

Spent about 4 hours walking around on a dry evening, the shoes felt great.

Salomon Men's Alphacross 4 GTX Trail Running Shoe

Wore them for four months (yard work only) and the soles started to separate on both shoes.

They are so comfortable that I wear them instead of traditional trainers for long walks in cities and when refereeing football matches.

though it was my first use of these hiking shoes, and they were completely water and mud logged, it was easy to rinse off dry and are like brand new again.

but ordered a 9 as well, the 9’s are incredibly comfortable with normal socks.

These are superb, waterproof, really light and grip so well, perfect for power walking in muddy conditions.

These shoes allowed me to run through the water, flooding trails, and mud slides without any falls.
