The only thing I don't like about the boots is that the laces seem way too long.

The leather is sturdy and the boots are definitely waterproof from what he's seen.

The boots have a "bootie" liner, so should be much more waterproof than boots with fabric uppers that only have a light water-resistant coating.

Spyder's Hayes Hiking Boots are very nicely made from quality materials.

I wear men's size 9 shoes and these boots fit me perfectly in size 9.

These boots are very well made and seem to be made to last.

The boots have a nice secure heel cup and roomy toe box.

but these boots are very comfortable with just the stock insoles.

According to my kitchen scale, weight is 1 pound 3 ounces per boot, which is relatively lightweight for waterproof leather boots.

The soles have thick soles with a medium amount of flex and relatively deep tread, so these boots should work well for serious day hiking and weekend backpacking on steep or rocky terrain.

Been a big Merrell fans for a few years and wanted a water proof boot for the approaching Fall and Winter.

What really make this boot much more comfortable than other hiking type boot is its "softer", not as rigid or stiff as other boots to include Merrell.

I must say that for more cold temperature and muddy conditions I fell in love with the other excellent brand Xpeti waterproog leather hiking boots.

Super comfortable shoes, got these because I started a door to door job and absolutely destroyed my everyday vans I was wearing in about 2 weeks.

I've had these for a good couple months now and they are easily the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, they don't feel like a boot

The foot bed is a little thin and soft, so they are not ideal for extremely rocky or rugged terrain.

After two failed try-before-you-buy size 10 1/2 hiking boots trials [my normal shoe size is 10 1/2], and after much research, and after hours of searching through the available hiking boot options on Amazon and other sites, I came across these black size 11 Morrell Moab 2 mid GTX hiking boots at a very nice discounted price [only the size 11 black pair had the nice discounted price].

So far these were the ones that felt straight away out of the box, super comfortable and the fit was snug enough that I didn't need to worry too much about my foot slipping around the boot causing pain and pinching here and there.

Moreover, after adding a set of Superfeet Trailblazer insoles, the boots actually felt perfect.

Good for everyday use, hiking, working, etc.

Then I used them for a 4 mile hike on very hilly, rocky, twisty, and deeply wooded trails, and they felt great.

They were very comfortable all through the hike.

These boots lasted less than 8 months before they split on the sides and came away from the sole and the sole itself is just shredded and no good.

But the leather cracked and they lost waterproofness.

Enough that I thought a small amount of moisture may be getting in or coming through the holes at the upper boot.

The fit in the heel is loose despite the difficulty getting the heel fully seated in the boot.

I wore them on a dog walk this morning and I continued to notice looseness in the heal and tightness across my instep.

This boot is insulated for warmth and waterproof.


Super comfy, surprisingly light and feel more like hiking boots even during long hikes.

but now I'm thinking, they are like hiking boots, good for fall, winter, and spring.

Needed some rain boots for work and ended up really liking this brand Bog’s.

For lace up boots I go with a 10 wide and I'm almost always a happy camper.

I could get them on, and they were good boots for a couple of years.

There's one thing a winter dog-walking boot has to do and that's keep your foot dry.

Oboz - my new favorite boot manufacturer - makes the Big Sky II pull-on.

Bottom line: a good-fitting boot is one that you forget you have on once you're 5 minutes into wearing them.

However, right now, they are the best of a mediocre to bad fit for me (I want to emphasize it's not that the boots are mediocre or bad - they appear to be a quality boot that will last a long time, I'm evaluating the fit of the boot hopefully to help others who might have a similar foot to mine).

They have a very comfortable sole, kept my feet very warm and not sweaty at all.

My feet stayed warm and dry all day, although I did notice a slight chill on the top of my foot for a bit on the first day,

LIKES: Fit (very comfortable and the insole does bounce back to form and has a sturdy cushion that appears will continue to be resilient), waterproof (no seams = no water), easy on/off, true-to-size (ordered 14 knowing I"d be wearing thick socks and returned for my true 13).

But, unfortunately, on my first day wearing the boors before I left work and started walking home, I noticed that the seams where the boots are attached to the soles have split open on both boots.

As soon as I started walking through some grass and stepped in the first few puddles and water streaming down the sidewalk, I could feel the water rushing into the foot of the boot and soaking the bottom of the boot!

It was truly frustrating and uncomfortable having to walk all the way home in the pouring rain knowing that I had wasted my funds on an unreliable product.

I suffer plantar issues and need support, just walking across the living room, my ankle has no support and moves around as there is no grip or shape.

but the 8s were too short so I put thick shoe inserts in the spring and fall months and in the winter just use fleece liners from Capelli and I have no issue with them fitting too small, if anything in the spring and summer months they are a smidge big on me.

The shades Kamik refers to as "pink" are way too purple for me. **The shoe inserts I have that I use for my rain boots are not thin dainty liners they are thick and plush I bought them on clearance at target about a year ago:)

though perhaps the toes just got scuffed and I was imagining things.

but after reading far too many reviews about the Hunters cracking just after the year warranty ran out (conveniently) and how the Hunter customer service was unhelpful in resolving the situations.

however, the ankle area is far too wide for me.

The 10s were HUGE on me they are too big just about everywhere they could be and my heel was very loose in the boots and made the weird walloping rain boot sound when I walked noisily around my house.

All of the reviews said these boots were great, waterproof and cheaper than hunter rain boots.

I tried on the rain boots with skinny jeans inside my rain boots and the fleece liners on and I had no issues at all with any part of the boots being too tight.

The size 7 (my usual size in most boots and shoes, except hiking boots in which I go to 7.5) fit my foot perfectly, like a glove,

The fit was good and the footbeds felt very comfortable so I was looking forward to wearing them for the first time.

though I had only tried those in light rain and walking through dewey grass, they held up just fine and were quite comfortable for all day wear.

So I am hoping to give as much help as I can to those who are wondering which size is best for you:) These rain boots are very cute and comfortable.

I sized up considerably (6.5 to an 8) after reading reviews & bc I intend to wear them w fairly thick socks & they fit just as hoped, so probably more like a 7, 7.5 at most.

The only place they still fit okay was my calves, I still had plenty of room for fleece liner.

I also put my shoe inserts in the Jennifer's and they fit great!

but my fleece liners fit in my rainbows great and I have decided just to keep the 9s as I think an 8 would not allow for me to wear the fleece liners I have for the winter.

Don’t listen to negative reviews like ‘ray ray’ with the 1 * review he obviously has no clue what he is talking about 1st and foremost this isn’t described as a work boot its clearly a hiking boot now that we have his ignorance out of the way 2nd’ly these boot preform like sorel always do and that’s great!

If you want a great boot with amazing comfort and fit then look no further!
