ARIAT Men's Cruiser Casual Shoe

stretchy

I will need to buy a shoe stretcher to see if I can loosen them up.

Out of the box, they were way too loose to wear for me wear,

small-size

I was so dissapointed to find these shoes at least a full size to small so no brand consistency which undermines confidence.

As others stated, they run a bit small I guess.

.had to return the 9 and order 9.5.  go with your normal size

I did have to 1/2 size up over typical Ariat boots I wear

The size chart here for them is not true to measurements.

I had to send back 2 times to get close to the right size.

inexpensive

but the majority of it is made up of a foamy substance that just feels cheap in the hand.

heel

but the back slips up because of the type of material around the heel.

As you can see in the pictures I provided, the suede is very thin and doesn't have a shell to support a shape, especially at the heel of the shoe where such a thing should be a given to supply.

work wear

but stylish shoes that I could wear to work each day.

The color of these were right and it had a semi-formal quality that would go well with the khakis and polos that I usually wear to work,

I walked city sidewalks, along the beach, and climbed up and down rocky shoresides, and the whole time I went on and on about the versatility of this excellent purchase.

ariat

Ariat never lets me down, these are great shoes.

I have had two pairs of Ariat boots and the quality of these boots, for the price, were unmatched by any other comparable brand.

Enough room for my toes, and no rubbing on the Achilles tendon, no blisters, and they fit well.

I ordered a half size up (9 from my 8.5 in their boots) and they fit me perfectly.

I did really like the style though, so ordered three items: (1) thick no show socks (2) sticky tounge pads (3)  heal pad stickies.

These stayed cool, surprisingly, and even without socks (I mean come on) I had no blisters, raw spots, etc.

strap

1 shoe has too much material and the heel straps are too loose.

The problem is the strap around the big toe.

Photo one shows that I have the back straps as tight as possible, yet it is too loose and travels up and down the back of the heel.

Photo two shows the foot straps are too long.

The excess strap was puzzling as I have a high arch and high instep.

Also, the straps tighten on my foot throughout the time that I’m wearing them to the point that my toe has diminished circulation so I’m forced to take my sandals off and readjust them in public.

The straps across the feet don’t adjust.

I’d try them again if they changed their construction of the straps.

However, I can't seem to find the same fit now - the 8 regular is too narrow at the heels (it feels like they're boring holes into the sides of each heel within an hour of wearing them) and the 8 wide are way too wide (it feels like I have tennis racquets strapped to my feet).

I finally found a wide-width sandal for every day at a reasonable price.

My last pair of Chaco's were amazing and I used them for everything from hiking and canoeing to wearing them at work.

These sandals would have been wide enough and it has a good arch support.
