At first, I thought maybe I ordered the wrong size due to how tight it felt

And while I was able to zip them up, and the foot part was roomy, they felt uncomfortably tight on the leg,

I never in my life have had to purchase wide calf boots,  and I own about 7 pairs of knee high boots from all different stores, purchased as recent as this month, that I wear several times a week, and have never had a problem with the calves being tight AT ALL.

I reordered these in wide calf, and they fit.

I have wide feet and my feet are very comfortable with a little room to wiggle the toes.

Unfortunately, the small amount of 'stretch' in these boots was not enough for me.

I am quite disappointed that these did not have a similar fit. It appears that the over the knee boots with the drawstring back ties at the very top of the boot are stretchy, very accommodating wide calf over the knee boots, while the over the knee boots with criss-cross laces at the back of the boot tops are less stretchy and fit slightly wide calves.)

These cute boots are just as pictured,

(I purchased another pair of "Wide Calf Stretchy Over the Knee" boots with a flat heel from this same brand and they fit my legs absolutely beautifully.

However, I bought a pair of these boots (in another color with back ties rather than the criss-cross ties), and they fit my legs and my very wide calves beautifully.

I can never find tall boots for my thick legs, so I was thrilled when I tried these on and they fit so incredibly well!

but these fit well and the style allows folding over the top so height isn't an issue.

I have fairly large calves and these actually fit and stretch without squeezing them, and stay up over the knee.

but i did my research on Amazon and these boots delivered , they did the job .

but unfortunately I have to say that I love these boots.

These Chestnut faux suede boots with criss-cross laces should work very well for those with athletic calves or calves that are slightly larger than regular.

My calfs are pretty wide so this looked perfect..

They do run large though, even for my child with wide feet, so I recommend ordering a size down.

They have a wide calf which makes it easy for the legs to slide in & have an easier time taking them off too.

I was thrilled to finally find a wide width boot that didn't arrive at my door with an accompanying wide width calf.

These boots are very pretty,  comfortable for my wide foot (with 2 arthritic little toes), and fit my slim calves snuggly.
