but 4 days in a row I got holes in my socks so something in the shoe must have been doing it.

The fabric on the shoe around the inner ankle just frays super easily, I think because the hard material underneath is ripping the delicate fabric.

This is the same time period the first pair I ordered started to fray.

but the fabric shouldn't be ripping with regular wear in only such a short time of a couple weeks.

size

I returned them and ordered the half-size up.

My recommendation is to order 1/2 size up.

however, the half size were too tight especially when you have to fit thick socks into them.

I ordered size 10 in these, and they are the shortest 10s I've ever tried on.

I wasn't sure if I should size down a half size from what I originally ordered since these shoes seemed to be bigger than the 3.0s that I had and my feet slipped around if I didn't wear medium weight socks.

but I didn't so I'll try to describe the problem that caused me to return them.

The toe box itself is very roomy, as promised,

Final analysis: I ordered the 7.5 Lone Peak 5, and it was a perfectly roomy fit with no pressure points AND I got to wear thick socks for the first time in 2 years!!

PROS: I love the wide toe box so my toes can splay out and the zero-drop to keep my hips and knees in alignment.

They are super comfortable and just the perfect toe width to allow my toes to spread out to their enjoyment.

I've got wide feet and as per all reviews these are great in terms of not squashing my feet,

I have never had a problem with width on Altras due to the foot shape design.

I've been wearing the 11s for a couple months now on steep trails with loose gravel and they are great if I wear medium socks.

The shoes were comfortable from the moment I put them on (in thin socks).

Very comfortable (once the blister healed), and my feet don't hurt now that I am in new shoes.

And they are soooo comfortable, right out of the box!

Doesn't work
I bought these shoes because I only wear Skechers shoes.

But I have been wearing these for 3 months and they are falling apart.

I exchanged them for a size 11, which I never wear, and still, they are very tight (length).

I already wore them around hoping they would stretch out a bit more since Skechers doesn't make this model (and look) any longer, and they haven't yet.

While I can wear these for a few hours, they're too snug for all-day wear.

but I've been wearing them for a couple of days and the soles have begun to show the wear.

I don't have a wide foot, but these were too narrow for me

The inner sole is wide; too wide for my narrow foot, and flat.

VERY snug for a size 9 These are much narrower, with a more sharply-rounded toe, and some leather-like material around the toe and the heel.

The sole, also, is much narrower than the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons.

Skechers for Work Men's Flex Advantage Slip Resistant Mcallen Slip On These fit very much like the Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible: narrower, and very snug compared to the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons, apparently built from a smaller last/form than those.

These are very light, and roomy to the point where I felt they may come off my feet in periods of high activity.

The toe has a wider "box", and my feet don't feel cramped at all.

Great
I have naprapathy and it seems that Skecher are the only shoes that are comfortable to wear.

If you can end-up with the right size, these should prove to be comfy for all-day wear.

Even with socks, they still fit comfortably loose.

I have plantar fasciitis and these boots are good and making my feet not hurt.


Fast delivery sizing is correct very comfy just hope they are waterproof as only worn in good weather, would recommend
