You don’t need to wear a thick wool sock because the shoe itself keeps you warm.

I wore one pair of wool socks with the boots and my feet stayed warm and dry for hours.

I also wore them to do a bit of trail hiking and they are very comfortable.

The souls of the shoe are quite cushioned making them easy to wear all day!

These are the best boots I’ve ever worn!

I spent a lot of time researching different winter boots and ultimately went with these because I own Columbia winter coats and they are the best!

While these boots are short shaft they did not disappoint in the mountains of Colorado in 3ft of snow.

Keep in mind they're more of a neoprene bootie than a running shoe so you are giving up that secure fit of a sneaker/hiker for the water resistance.

Best shoes
I've been wearing Chameleons since version 2, and they are comfortable and very durable.

I wore them in Montana on rugged trails and even climbing a rocky ravine and they performed well.

They also are very comfortable for urban wear (airports, city streets  etc) and hug and support your feet.

These are the most comfortable shoes I think I’ve ever put on my feet.

These hiking shoes are excellent for those looking for a comfortable waterproof option for rugged hiking environments.

They feel warm in cold weather and also seem very waterproof.

Good looking and comfortable shoe
I bought these shoes to wear on my boat.

The are so comfortable and easy to slip on and off that I find myself wearing them all the time.

Versatile
I wear these to the office and to go trail hiking.

but I've been wearing these Skechers for more than two years and they're still going!

Comfortable and Durable
I don't drive, which means my feet are my vehicle and I do a lot of walking.

but when it's time to replace them I'll definitely be buying the same shoes again.

So many shoes these days are not true to size anymore.

He's also wearing them now that is's 80 outside, so they are good for all temps.

He's worn them in the rain and through puddles and never got wet feet.

Over all I was quite impressed with these hiking shoes, having used them to hike several trails around the greater Phoenix area.

I have long second and third toes which aren't happy in shoes, so for the last decade I've been wearing sandals year round except for logger boots a full size too big when I take walks or hike trails.

It took a long while for these boots to go on sale but it was well worth the wait.

These boots are very comfortable for the purpose and they look good.

My mom thought they were cute - even with leggings and they were the right mix of style and function for riding.

Salomon Women's XAILD Trail Running Shoes Hiking

They didn't feel right and my foot was slipping inside and both feet were sore after 15 minutes of use.

I tried them for work, once again really sore feet after a short use.

Traveling, sore feet and made loud squishy noises when walking over wet cement, flooring and concrete flooring.

Looks like it's too late for a return or exchange.

Was out of town and was planning to return them.

but according to Amazon product is water resistant and it isn't.

I'd deduct half a star because I have to buy an insole for it, half a star because it makes noise when walking (sounds like something crackling), and half a star because I hate Salomon's lacing system.

I didn't realize until I had worn them several times that, lol they weren't even the same shoes I had ordered.


First off I love Salomon shoes, I've been wearing them at work for nearly ten years now.

They have been great for just sidewalk walking and honestly just wearing around.

(trail hiking, road, and local paths) this model has a higher fit around the ankle for support along with all the other great features.

They provide good ankle support while being pretty light weight.

The XA Wild shoe fits and provides sufficient support with a different insole.

If you like Salomon shoes and their lacing system, these are good shoes for trail walking.

but it is very uncomfortable, I have thin feet and this shoe hurt my right foot, today I have a heel spur problem because of this shoe and I am receiving medical attention

These are perfect for the dirt trails I normally hike.

Bought a different pair of Salewa’s since they are quickly becoming my favorite hiking shoe brand.

I have yet to feel some sort of discomfort while out on a trail.
