The only complaint I have is that, especially with the addition of my orthotic inserts, the heels are a little too high for me to use these shoes specifically for lifting.

Cons: heel lock is going to cause blisters unless you wear longer socks until they break in, tongue is very thin, laces are longer than needed without a real place to store them besides shoving them down the sides of the shoes.

I got these due to needing new workout shoes ASAP.

All in all, I recommend these for people looking for a universal exercise trainer shoe.

It is really hard to find wider trainer shoes for exercise currently so if you’re like me and searching, these are worth a try.

The show is excellent with ankle support, very light, and great for HIIT, or cross fit workouts.

I ordered a size up and they fit perfectly.

They fit my personality and the chaotic look is all around Chadly.

Great fit, great durability
Bottom line: These are great shoes that have handled hard HIIT workouts 3-5 times a week for the last three months without issue.

They fit great, dry quickly, and accept my orthotic inserts without issue.

I have wide feet so I sized up half size and these fit snug like a comfortable sock

They hardly needed any break in to fit just right (accept for the aggressive heel lock (but that is very useful for burpees and push-ups to keep the shoe from potentially slipping off, just wear socks that cover your heals over and you will be fine).

They're incredibly comfortable, great for jumping, and the grip is great as well.

Pros: comfortable for wider feet, good toe room, sole is stable and has good cushioning for a trainer.

but I still prefer the Nano 9’s for heavier lifting activities as the sole seems more conducive for that.

It’s more universal for all different types of exercises over the previous CrossFit endorsed models of the X9’s and X’s due to the soles having a little more spring in them.

but with lifting the sole is less springy and more solid for stability.

I have heel pain without the right support as I work an oncology unit and always on my feet then we add 7 days of workouts, these won't cut it.

They don't grip the heel as they should which could cause injury with all the movement I do during workouts.

Love the light weight of the shoes ; circle under the ball of the foot makes it easy to pivot and move on the wooden floor.

A great workout shoe
My son bought me these for my adventure back to the gym after breaking my femur at my knee.

They are not too hard, nor the mushy memory foam type which I hate in exercises shoes.

I like them, they are light weight, breathable and the toe box is not narrow.

Comfortable Fit for Workouts
I was looking for cross trainers as I normally lift then run during regular workouts.

These sneakers are comfortable and agile for both.

but Not A Lot of Side to Side Support
This is a comfortable shoe that is true to size.

They are comfortable enough once I added the orthotics so tonight I am going to see how they hold up to a 12 hour shift so atleast I can get my money's worth out of them some how.

Otherwise they were comfortable to work all night in a hospital with no issues.

I was immediately surprised when I put these on right out of the box, they felt so comfortable, like they were my good old worn and true exercise sneakers.

The have a nice appearance and, like most Ryka's women's shoes, the cut does fit well.

So I added my orthotics which felt great and fit perfect!

but they are definitely about a half size smaller, plus the bottom of the shoe is much harder.

I'm not sure I would want to run a long way in them due to the very little padding of the insole , treadmill or stair master yes

This model is light, comfortable and breathable, toe box is wide enough for my feet to be comfortable and I use these shoes for a variety of crossfit activities.

They fit your feet like a glove and hold rock steady on those Bulgarian split squats, great for lifting in, no ankle tilting or movement they give great stability to the foot and almost have the same feel as barefoot shoes.

After months of trying to break them in they are still impossbilly uncomfortable to wear and leave me .

Additionally, the back of the shoe was very hard and digs uncomfortably into the heel.

I’ve worn them for about four workouts and the tongue is already starting to curl inside the shoe, so I have to be careful to lay it flat or it bothers my foot.

I bought these as I am new to Crossfit and really needed some shoes specifically for it as my running shoes weren't cutting it anymore.

I have loved wearing these for CrossFit: they are breathable and lightweight.

These are very comfortable and stable tennis shoes.

SCARPA Men's Veloce Rock Climbing Shoes for Gym Climbing

had to return/exchange

I don't know whether the shoes themselves are any good, because I immediately returned them.

The shoes I got WERE eaten up & were obviously WARN heavily, the heal HAD NO FORM
TOP Was stretched out, The heal Had no form, The front and sides of the shoe were eaten too bits by someone who obviously wore them for multiple sessions before ruining them and returning them.

Because of this I returned them & will not be order this shoe again.

The shoes came in bad condition - the soles are scuffed, sides are covered in black marks and there's bits of disintegrating, crumbly rubber all over the shoes.

but because it seemed beaten up and faded, I put them back in the box after trying them on.

but I wouldn't push your luck there as they are again super soft and I could see them tearing easily.

The first time I wore these Veloce it felt a bit tight

I am literally wearing Tarantulaces from La Sportiva, in size 12.5 a half size below my street shoe size, & it was super tight at first, I wear a 14 in Evolv & 5.10 Niad Moccasym, the Niad VCS Run Narrower than the Moccasym.

I think these would hold up fine outdoors as well despite being marketed as a gym shoe,

but they stretched and fit well afterwards.

After blowing the Zenits out, I tried these on at my local climbing gym, and the 8.5 fit very well.

True to size
I wear a size 9 on my Nike sneakers, and the size 9 Scarpa fit me perfectly.

but the break in time for these shoes was minimal, and they fit like slippers now.

though they fit so well now I find myself barely tightening the strap at all.

These shoes are comfortable, flexible, and the grip is great.

The sole feels slightly padded and comfortable while still providing great feel on holds.

These shoes are true to size, comfortable (for climbing shoes), and a great price.
