I’m a 9 sometimes I’m an 8.5 I ordered a 9 and the shoe was so narrow I knew immediately it would never fit on my foot no matter how much I worked it in.

Ankle protection isn’t really an issue for me so a shoe works fine and these offer the safety toe and durability I need for the rest of my foot.
