I wear a size 10 and they fit just a little on the loose side

They did feel somewhat uncomfortable around my ankles though, which was unusual given their size.

but these came about a half size or so larger.

The tounge could be wider and heavier so I am going with 4 stars.

Great value for a work boot.

To my surprise it is a very nice pair of boots.

These boots has thick leather on top and a thick sturdy sole with good grips.

For the price this is a great pair of boots.

Poor wear quality
I bought these boots for our 13 year old son to wear on the farm for chores and other daily work over the summer.

However, 8 weeks of wear is a poor value.

but the wear quality of these just doesn't justify the purchase.

The stitching comes undone and the toe cover wears out very fast.

Not a great hiking boot
I wore these on a 2 mile moderate hike which is a pretty decent incline where you have to navigate terrain that requires you to step up.

However, after those 8 weeks, the boots broke down where the rubberized toe meets the sole of the boot.

Even the soles are holding up phenomenally and I'm NOT a dainty little girly-man.

but disappointed that even brand new the leather was not conditioned well enough to repel water when walking in grass with dew on it.

I got a blister on my heel due to that and it was very uncomfortable to walk in these.

They worked well for all of June & July while feeding cattle, mowing lawns, and haying.

and working in the yard they should be just fine for that.

The leather of the boot was very dry and soaked up water when walking in wet grass.

We bought a pair of Danner boots on sale for $100 in early August and they're still going strong in late October.

Great warehouse boots
I bought the boots to wear at work in a warehouse they work great.

Anyway, the first pair of Ariat Terrain boots are still going strong after 5 years.
